How does one fight depression?!


Question: How does one fight depression!?
Recently I've been excruciatingly depressed!. I'm 13 but it's been very stressful!. My parents don't get along-to put it lightly, I have lost my faith in God, I've been awfully pessimistic about my views on the world!.!.!.I've been trying to stop but it's hard!.

Do you have a counselor at school you can talk to about your depression!? Please don't take this lightly!. I'm glad you are drawing for a hobby because that is one thing that will help you deal with your feelings!.

However, you cannot, on your own simply talk or will yourself out of depression!. Tell your counselor at school that you are very depressed!. Tell your parents you are very depressed and want to see a mental health counselor!. Ask the counselor at your school to come with you to your home and help you explain the situation to your parents!. You say you have lost your faith in God but do you have a minister or is there a leader of the Church you used to go to who you can turn to and explain about your depression!. The most important thing is to get an adult to help you get treatment for your depression!. Depression is real and it is serious!.

In the meantime, if there are things you can do, such as your drawing to make you feel happier, then by all means do them!. Do you like to watch comedy shows on TV!? When the weather is nice try and spend some time outdoors!. Since you feel you have lost your faith in God, go to church anyway and read inspiration pamphlets or books!.

Your parents may not get along with each other but they love you and want to help if you let them!. Most schools have resources but if your school doesn't turn to your parents or your church!. Medication is an option for someone who's so deep into depression, they just can't get out alone!. It's like throwing a rope to someone trapped in a well - they need a hand just to get up a little, then once they're on a roll, they can do the rest by themselves!.
Life will always be hard, you can't avoid pain!. The easy thing to do is give up, but that will just make you feel worse about yourself!. Find one small thing you have control over, and work on it!. Something stupidly small, like "I can make my bed every day!. That will make my room neater and I'll feel a little bit better being in there!." Then do it!. Once it becomes easy, you'll feel ready to tackle the next thing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depresssion can be reactive, to your situation in life, or a medical illness!. If you are having persistent insomnia, loss of weight, no desire to eat, feelings of hopelessness and helplessness, crying jags and suicidal thinking it is best you see your family doctor!. He can send you to a specialist, if required!. The emergency room, of your local hospital, or the "Kids Help Line" can be good resources!. So can a school counsellor!.

When someone is depressed they think they have limited options because their thinking is constricted!. Dpression is treatable through talking to a trained professional!. Sometimes anti-depressant medication will help!. You will need to be assessed!! Good luck - it can be beaten even if you don't think so!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Surround yourself with things that make you happy!. Funny people, funny pictures, funny songs, funny stories!. Anything that can make you smile!. I've been where you are my friend, it will pass, I promise!. You aren't alone!. :] Just don't surround yourself with other depressed people, or dark stuff, even though it can be tempting!. If you want to feel better, the only thing that will get you there is your desire to be happy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

depression is nothing but a mental block of happiness
all you need to do is ask your self questions and really get to know your self
it sounds redundant but just look at your self in the mirror and make your self laugh or just say I love you it may be awkward at first but it gets easier and it does help
don't think of it as a battle and talk to some one you may also be angry just say what pisses you off
or just have conversations in your mind and sometimes you can uncover things you didn't think of before!.

Supposedly, regular exercise is supposed to be just as good at fighting depression as an antidepressant!. If the exercise doesn't help, you might want to try something called St!. John's Wort!. It is an over the counter herbal supplement that fights depression!. You don't need a prescription for it either!.

although your parents may not get along, what about speaking to them!? Have you spoken to the school counselor!?

As for God, pray pray pray, read the book of Psalms as motivation to pray!. Its easy to loose faith when life seems difficult, our emotions can mess us up in a lot of ways if we don't control them!. You have to find ways to take control of your emotions, join a sport, share your drawings, join an art club or something!.

You are not the Lone Wolf here!.!.!. a lot of people go through periods of "the pits"!.!.!.!. You're working at a disadvantage on the homefront because of the discord and this alone can be adding a lot of stress to your life!.!.!.!. let alone all the expectations that are placed on you!.!.!.!.!.
But, within you is a light that is much stronger than any darkness that you could encounter!.!.!.!.!. You simply got to find that sucker and get it out of hiding !

Get yourself out of that house and down to that pile of books down the street!.!.!. take your drawing gear!.!.!.!. look through the stuff there about the things that you want to learn to draw well!.!.!. and get with it!.!.!.!.!. God only knows (and there IS a God, Sport) who you might meet up with that will be amazed at what you can do and become friends or!.!.!.!. dang, maybe even a Fan !!
You have more going on for yourself than you realize!.!.!.!.just reach down there really deep and get it out to the light !!

You are a phony! I saw that you helped someone about an hour ago that had a similar question!. You told them to submerse their self in activities and hang around with friends or whatever!. You totally claimed not to be depressed anymore!. You referred to a time when you WERE depressed!.

it may be chemical, but it's always your last resort to treat depression with dependent medicine!.

depression is tough!.!.!.really there really isn't a way!.!.!.there are ways to cover it, push it aside, but not rid yourself of it unless you parents start acting nicer!. im sorry to be so rough!.!.!.i understand though, and im going through tough times as well!. things will always get better!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

depression is something that u cannot just snap out of its a imbalance of brain chemicals and other factors as a caseworker for the mentally ill i suggest you talk to someone about your problem and seek help because doc prescribe medication for depress people Www@Answer-Health@Com

but i wouldent perfer this but what i do is i get high
it just takes me out of ordinary life into a new better place!.
