How can I get rid of this feeling of loneliness?!


Question: How can I get rid of this feeling of loneliness!?
I always feel so lonely, even when I'm with friends and family!. When I'm with people, I feel sad and empty and can't really have a good time so I want to get away from everyone, but that makes it even worse!. Has anyone else felt like this!? Without professional help you are fighting an up hill battle BUT there are ways of helping yourself!. When I was in your position I battled for a very long time on my own, I read as many books as I could get my hands onto and did as many of the projects in the books that I was capable of doing by myself at that time!.
When I realised that I needed to look within myself (inner child)
and strip back all the layers until I found what it was that had happened to me to make me feel this way!. The trouble was by then I had lost 5 years of my life, all my friends, my marriage!. my sanity and my own well being!.
If I had to do it all over again today, knowing what I know now the first thing that I would do is ask for help from my Doctor!. Medication would be the second thing that I would seek out to help keep me stable until I could find a psychologist that I felt safe and comfortable with!.
There is ALWAYS a reason for how we feel, it's finding what it is that is the hard bit and then fixing it!.
Don't do what I did and loose everything before you realise that the problem is too big for you to handle on your own!.
Start reading asap (any books on codependency) and hopefully you will realise that asking for help is your first step in making this horrible, nasty, cruel feeling of loneliness go away!.

This sense of alienation and isolation, even amongst friends and family, is characteristic of teenage angst!. Let your trusted friends and family know that you're feeling lonely and try to be receptive to warmth and sympathy!.

Personal beliefs about our place in the world, our sense of belonging, our understanding about ourselves all contribute to how we see ourselves, our relationships and ultimately our future!.

Some of these beliefs can get a little skewed, general and rigid at which point they start to become unhelpful!.

For instance, a commonly stated belief is: "Nobody understands me"!.
This may indeed have _some_ truth in it, but it is far too general to be helpful!. It implies that not a single person understands anything about me, which is plainly untrue!.

It's a small conceptual hop from this belief stated above to something wholly more helpful, for example:
"I have some unique ideas and opinions which a few people might find challenging!."

These are just examples!.
My point is that getting to the core of such unhelpful beliefs, challenging them and making them work for you is key to opening your heart and mind and enjoying a fuller life!.

or you could take a piece of paper and on there, write down everything that upsets you, makes you mad, what your disappoints are in life!.!.!.cry into this letter!.!.!.scribble!.!.cuss!.!.whatever you need to do to get all your feelings out!.!.!.then you can either stick it in the freezer to freeze all of those emotions, or rip them up!. either way!.!.!.it will make you feel much better!.

You are going to feel different feelings on and off for the rest of your life!. So don't try to get rid of the feeling!. Sounds you might be depressed!. Outside of seeking professional help, I would say to exercise!. This increases endorphins, which will naturally help you feel better!. Change up your environment, your bedroom perhaps!. Put some soothing candles around, be sure to pamper yourself with warm baths as well!. Spend some alone time with some good music!. Your depressed!. i was diagnosed with depression about a year ago i went to a therapist twice and it helped me a little bit opened my eyes to different things and helped me fill my emptiness!. Help people!. You'd be surprised how much it helps oneself to help others less fortunate!. Volunteer at a Hospital, they all have programs and you will see the little things we take for granted in life are really just minor!. People are dying, or are sick and sometimes we need to see that for ourselves to fully appreciate life and our loved ones!. Personally, I've helped people and I've listened to personal stories and just being part of that has made me feel really good about myself!.
