What do you do when you feel depressed?!


Question: What do you do when you feel depressed!?
since my late teens, there has always been times when ive been depressed even though i have what you would say is a good life!. when i was younger, at times i felt suicidal, but im better at coping now and dont think like that!. there are still times though when i feel so down and completely worthless that i completely neglect my life, ignoring my friends and spending hours sleeping in bed!. i dont really feel i can talk to anyone about it because its not like ive got anything to be depressed about!. its just like its a part of my personality!.

when you feel like this, what do you do!? are there any ways to distance yourself from feeling depressed!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

The best thing to do when you are feeling like that is get out of bed, trust me i know how hard that can be but you will feel better for doing it!. The the key is to distract yourself and keep yourself busy, you may think you don't want to face the world but in fact that is the best thing for you!. Staying in bed makes you feel worse which makes you want to stay in bed etc-it is a vicious circle!.
Also when you are down think of the positive things you have done even if it is just getting out of bed that is still a positive thing!. Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

That sounds like a mental unbalance!. I suggest you go talk to a psychiatrist to maybe prescribe something to make you feel better because obviously just coping skills aren't cutting it!. Another way to distance yourself from depression if medication is not an option, is to keep yourself so busy doing something that you don't have time to be depressed!. Go volunteer, etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you should go to your gp they can offer you things like counselling or medication which could make you feel much better!.sometimes just talking about it can make things seem much better!.i hope things look up for you Www@Answer-Health@Com
