Answers:
As long as you don't talk to them out loud!. Oh and if you take them out to dinner make sure they pick up the tab!.
I think your friend is just telling you this so you'll spend more time with her/him!.
Oh, if it's you that has the imaginary friend!.!.!.don't worry, you'll find a real one if you are a good person!.
We all talk to ourselves!.
You know that voice inside your head!? Yes, that one, consider that a friend!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends!.
Does she know that they are imaginary!?
If she can see them, or they actually talk to her, then she is having delusions, and that's not okay!. It is a strong signal that something is wrong!.
She may believe that "they are her friends!."
But it is a delusion!. No different than the people who state "God" is talking to them!. THis is a very touchy situation and she needs to be monitored closely!.
If you feel in any way that she is losing touch with reality, don't try to reason with her!. Chances are, she is not rational!. Try talking to her parents!. If that doesn't work go to your school's counselor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's not normal for a 16 yr old to have imaginary friends but I could see in extreme, desperate loneliness, one creating imaginary friends!. She may even need to see a psychiatrist for that!. It sounds extreme!.

She needs to work more on REAL friends!. They are much better than imaginary friends!.

Real friends are so much better!. If she's your best friend, try to be with her more, do more with her, and encourage her to make more real life friends!. School groups, volunteering, church, etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
