Can prescribed meds cause a postive result in a drug test?!
Question: Can prescribed meds cause a postive result in a drug test!?
like anxiety meds and antidepressantsWww@Answer-Health@Com
Answers:
anxiety meds, or benzodiazipines will very definitely show up in a drug test, not so much antidepressants!. But if you have a prescription for such medication, you simply have to list them and show your prescription labels, and the testing lab will ignore those results!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
My sister is on Effexor (venlafaxine) and anxiety meds!. She tested positive on a drug test for PCP, which she has never touched!. It was later ruled it was a false postive due to the Effexor!. So yes, it is possible, although I don't know which prescription drugs cause which false positives!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Dont worry about it!. They are looking for illegal substances!. If you have a prescription it's obviously legal even if it did show up!. You can't get in trouble for taking a prescribed medicine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Maybe, I'm not sure!. I won't worry about it though!. As long as you have a prescription for them you should worry about it coming up in a drug test!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
