You know there are a lot of people who take them that shouldn't really be taking them!.!.!.!. they take a long time to actually work, they are not instant!. Months may pass before you actually realize they have worked!. Having said that if you can avoid the pills do so and try acupuncture or other things such as meditation!. Self help is the best form of help!.
Avoid the pills they are not really an easy way out they just let you go on with your depressed self while you wait for something to happen!.
But for sure they do help some people!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It all depends on your body chemistry and the medication!. I've tried almost all of the anitdepressants out there and most are okay!. That means I haven't had any bad side effects with them!. I only had two of them really drive me nuts!. Cymbalta gave me a panic attack!. Wellbutrin made me feel like I was climbing the walls and very hyper and like I wanted to shoot myself!. I'm currently on Paxil and don't have any bad side effects on it!. In fact, I was surprised that I lost over 50 pounds on the medication in a year!. However, most people who take Paxil don't lose weight!. The medications are worth trying if you're depressed enough!. The only constant bad side effect I've received from taking these different antidepressants all these years is some short-term memory loss!. I don't know why this has occurred, but there is no other explanation for it but the meds!. They are worth trying to help relieve the symptoms of depression!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It truly depends on your type of depression!.
Depression can be caused by a number of different things, a death in the family, a side effect of a current medication( like Birth Control), or an actual imbalance in the chemicals in your brain!.

The main thing you have to remember is to sit down and talk with your doctor as to why you feel you should be put on to anti depressants!. If its a side effect of a current medication that you are taking, the you could switch medications or go on an anti depressant that is not as strong as some others!.

If its because of an event in your life, you Dr!. might recommend some other coping techniques and maybe a weaker anti depressant!.

If its due to an actual chemical imbalance in your brain, testing would be necessary and an anti depressant that would be meant for your specific imbalance would be prescribed!.

Side effects of any type of medicine should be looked at before taking!. Many feel all the effects more then others, and other people don't have any side effects at all!. Sometimes its just trial and error!. And in these cases dont be hesitant to discuss any side effects that you do experience with your Dr!. Especially if your symptoms of depression worsen rather then get better!.

Some have worked on some people, and some have some horrible reactions!. I have been on Lexapro, Zoloft, Welbutrin (Thee worst of them) And with each one i had different side effects!.
Zoloft had the best results, took it for 9 months and have been off of it for 2 years now without any mass depression!.
Lexapro had a lot of sexual side effects and made me tired,
Welbutrin made me extremely suicidal and paranoid!. I was only on it for 5 days before my doc took me off of it!.
But some people have had great outcomes with Welbutrin!. BUT so far a lot of people that i know that had gotten on Zoloft for seasonal depression!. I!.E Winter blues, loved it just like I did!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
