Hypochondria? Anxiety?!

Question: Hypochondria!? Anxiety!?
Starting at a pretty young age, I was always aware of death!. I would say starting at the age of 8, I would watch a show where someone was ill, or dying and would think!.!. I have that!. Or, I can get it at any time!. As an example, I clearly remember watching Pet Cemetary- the lady on the bed with spineibifeda (spelling!?) and I remember thinking I was going to get that!. I even remember watching a show where someone shrunk, and I would constantly check my height thinking I was shrinking!. I was always a slim kid, at the age of 10 I started eating more to gain weight because I didn't want to be anarexic!. In high school, one of my teachers died of a heart attack, and at age 16 I was in the doctors office a week later because I was getting chest pain and thought I was having one too!. I'm 24 now, i'm still like this to a small point, but it doesnt affect my life really!. Is this anxiety!? I wouldn't really call it hypochondria, but I really dont go to the doctor that much!. More than not, I google any symptoms I may have!. Any ideas!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Both!. Hypochondia IS a form of anxiety!. You need to be in activities that make you feel r-e-l-a-x-e-d!. Like yoga or hiking or drawing or music!. Exercising helps a lot! And eating a balanced diet and taking vitamins!.

Anxiety is a life-long struggle!. It stinks and there's no real cure just being able to maintain it so it doesn't take over your life!. I would try and figure out patterns!. Like when do you feel the most anxious about a disease or catching something!? May you experienced a trauma early in your childhood which made you feel contaminated!. I would see a therapist who specializes in Anxiety!. Talk therapy is best!. I would avoid taking Rx drugs for anxiety!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

sounds like you are a bit of a hypochondriac, just a little paranoid!. thats ok, its not your fault, you just need to never pay attention to stuff like that!. if you're having symptoms that are prevalent enough to make you want to go to the doctor then go, but anything you see on tv, hear about etc, forget itWww@Answer-Health@Com

That's 100% hypochondria!. I have it :-/ I completely understand your feelings, and I experience the same things!.

Go see your General Practitioner, they have a vague idea about psychological issues!. If s/he isn't good enough, I'd go to a psychologist, because I bet you're 100% healthy!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would go see a psychiatrist, it sounds like a very severe anxiety & maybe more like depression or odd!. Im so sorry you have lived like this for 24 years!. get to a doc as soon as possible and begin the path to recovery!. you can beat this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like hypochondria to me!. I'm sort of like that, but not to that degree!. By the way, that part in Pet Sematary scarred me for life when I was little! That "lady" and her back all f**ked up like that scared the hell out of me!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You certainly sound a little hypochondricWww@Answer-Health@Com
