Question: Please tell me!.!. Do I need some psychiatrist!?
I was really popular when I was in my last yrs in high school BUT i wasn't happy at ALL!. NOT AT ALL!. i always felt alone and dealing w/ my stupid insecurities back then the only good thing actually was i was popular!. haha!. anyway!.!. when i got into college this insecurities of mine still lingers i thought id be ok since i was with my bestfriend but then no i did not!! ive gotten worst! my self-esteem got loooower!. I doubted myself a lot to the point that i couldnt approach anyone and get close to anyone anymore!.!. i just felt stupid and can't face ppl all the time!.!. that's it!.!. do i need a psychiatrist!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do not get medication! It treats the symptoms, not the causes!.
I don't think you need a psychiatrist at all!. But perhaps if you don't have a close friendship group who you can confide in you may benefit from counselling!.
Counselling is essentially the chance to talk about whatever's on your mind, with a view to dealing with your problems without the opinions or judgement of another person!.

I wouldn't say you need a psychiatrist!. You just need to relaxe!. Don't take yourself so seriously!. Life is short!. Don't put so much pressure on yourself in social situations!. You are your best friend!. Go easy on yourself!. I think you think too much!. ( : Instead of thinking thinking negative thoughts prior to a social situation just take a deep breath!. Read "A New Earth" by Eckhart Tolle!. It's good!. You will be fine!. Just be you!. If you don't know who you are then that's awesome! Have fun!Www@Answer-Health@Com

A psychiatrist is the medicine doctor, and I don't think you need to see one yet!. Since your low self esteem is affecting your life immensely I suggest that you make an appointment with a psychologist, which is, in other words, a therapist!. the only thing good I heard is to get out of your own head and think about others that way can't be thinking about self all the time!.

Talk to a close friend someone you trust and can easily talk to and open up with or even a family member if you can't do neither than yeah go see a pshychiatrist!. something i learned early on was that it's better to let it out all than keep it bundled in!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I agree with Amber!. However, they make medicines for how you feel!. They are called anti-depressants!. High school did that to a lot of people!. At least half the people in the United States are on medication for the same type feelings you are feelings!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes go see a Therapist!. They may recommend medication but at least you have someone to explain how your feeling and get professional advice back!.

maybe some family or friends too!. I felt the same way for a while but I realized that all that stuff is just in your mind!. Odds are no one thinks of you that way except for yourself!. I realized that I need to stop bringing myself down and to live the life that I was blessed to have with some confidence; after all, thinking about those things just makes you waste all your time on what isn't important- and half the time we don't even know it! So just take some deep breathes, say a prayer or two, and life your life to the fullest and with the confidence you deserve!Www@Answer-Health@Com
