What's the best way to relax & free your mind?!


Question: What's the best way to relax & free your mind!?
I have this tendency of worrying too much and find it difficult to relax!.Any tips!?

I see a community mental health nurse and this is what she has told me!.

Mindfulness- focus on something, take the trees for example!. What colours are they, can you hear the birds, can you see any birds or nests!? This will take your mind off any thoughts from the past and worrying thoughts or the future this will help you focus on the here and now!.
You can do this with anything, if you are feeling anxious at school/work focus on something and see what you can actually see!. You can do this by looking at a wall!! lol does the wall have any cracks or chips in the paint!? Has any of the colour faded! Sounds silly but it does work!.


Another thing is breathing techniques, breathe in for 3 seconds and then hold it for 3 seconds then breathe out for 3 seconds!. Keep doing this and focusing on your breathing!. This will also relax you while stopping you worry about any other thoughts!.
