Lexapro withdrawal symptoms after slow discontinuation?!

Question: Lexapro withdrawal symptoms after slow discontinuation!?
I've been taking Lexapro for probably over 5 years!. It hasn't really done anything!. they decided to take me off of it slowly!. I can't take a lower dose because there isn't one!. After 2 days of being off of the medication i am now getting withdrawal symptoms in the form of those little shocks that go up your spine feeling!. I can't get a hold of my doctor for many reasons(It's too late, I don't have her extension, and she's only in 3 times a friggin month)!. I still have some Lexapro left i took one to stop the feeling because last time that happened it was so annoying if i let it happen i would have killed myself(That wasn't my first option I'm not suicidal!. I enjoy my life!. I retroactively sought a new Dr)!. Is there any good way to get off of this damn drug without it driving you up a wall!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had that problem with cymbalta - it only comes in capsules, so you can't cut them in half!. Stupid!

Call up the pharmacist!. They may have some advice!. Otherwise, maybe you have to get a refill of a few pills so you have enough until you can get hold of your doctor again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Can you split the pill or cut to every other day, then every third day!? It sounds like you need a really long weaning process!. I've known people to quit it without any effect whatsoever, so you must be super sensitive!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
