Help With Being Failure At Geometry?!

Question: Help With Being Failure At Geometry!?
Ok so I am taking Advanced Geometry and I am not doing so well!. I don't want to sound like I'm bragging but I've always been one of the smartest kids in all my classes and I always work really hard!. I've always been especially good at math!. But Advanced Geometry is different for me!. No matter how hard I have studied, I keep doing badly!. I always try so hard and study for hours but it is always hard for me!. There is always a twist on the test!. But the worst part of it all it that most kids do really well and they say that they don't even study! And it always seems like I am getting jipped out of points on the tests!. Ughh I just feel awful and to top it off my dad is just disappointed in me and that's worse than being angry!. It just seems that no matter how hard i try and prepare I always do badly and all the others kids don't even study but they do amazing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had a lot of trouble with geometry too, then when I took college algebra the next year, there was this section on logarithms that required endless computations!. i always made a mistake somewhere!. I was going to quit math, and my teacher begged me to sign up for trigonometry and said I would really like that class and teacher!. And guess what - I loved it! I went on to get a degree in math, and finally did get the hang of doing proofs with those tricky little twists!.

So here are a few tips for you -
do the easier homework problems before you try to understand the theory that is presented in the chapter!. It will make more sense after you have done some problems or easier proofs!.

on tests, do the easier problems first, skipping around!. Then go back and do the ones you didn't know how to do!. Otherwise, you can get stuck and blow all your time on a few problems & not get to the ones that you can do more easily!. Also, doing some easier problems first gives you more confidence as you work the test!. Write formulas you might forget right onto the test booklet as soon as you get it, so you don't have to worry about forgetting!.

See your math teacher for help after school!. If that doesn't do the trick, see if your parent(s) can afford for you to see a tutor a few times!. Sometimes there is just one or two things you are missing somehow, and when you get it, everything clicks!.

Realize that geometry class is very different from other math courses you will take!. Maybe you won't do so well in geometry no matter what, but so long as you pass, so what!. the next class WILL go better, trust me!. College algebra and trig are much more straightforward, imo!.

All the best to you! Remember, math is all about being diligent and doing your homework consistently!. Over time, if you do that, you will learn it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't get too upset, its just not your thing!. Get a tutor!. Probably a few sessions just to grasp something you might be missing, might put all the puzzle pieces together for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yeah I had A's until Honors Geometry and it went downhill for a year but the cool thing is that the next math class is algebra 2 :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
