Question: What kind of damage do painkillers do mentally!?
I broke my arm falling of a roof and the doctor gave me a prescription, i've probally been taking more than I needed but I just started to notice when I type I forget to include some words!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

they temporarily cause short term memory loss and under the influence reduce synaptic plasticity and can make words difficult to find!. trust me everything will go away after you stop using them!. opiates while may make you subjective to an accidental overdose aren't very harmful to the brain at all!.
it actually depends on your age!. alzheimers only develops from i!.v!. heroin/morphine use in people whose brains are still developing (over 25 and you are safe)!. loss of intellect can come from addiction in that cells that have two purposes (processing information and releasing dopamine for example) will only focus on the latter because they chemically need the process to occur, so the addicted cells are not functioning at full capacity!.
