Committing self to mental hospital?!


Question: Committing self to mental hospital!?
I have bipolar and am not currently on treatment!. Over the past 6 months my conditions have gotten worse!.

I have been in a hospital before, but as I recall, it cost around $500/day

I do not have health insurance or a job (Can't get a job because the bipolar and anxiety make it really hard to work, I work for myself but insurance premiums for being self insured cost more than what I make)

Do I have any other option than to get crazy into debt!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you can't work because of your mental condition, you should apply for disability!. It is an illness just like any other!. Then you can be covered by Medicare and get some treatment!. They paid most of it when I was in the hospital, but I still get bills!. Good luck, I know it is a rotten position to be in!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Outpatient therapy at your local mental health center!. They will do a sliding fee scale so that treatment may only cost you $20-$30 per session for an hour session!. While it's not as "intensive" as a hospital stay it may very well be enough for you!. They will likely team you up with a psychologist for therapy and a psychiatrist for meds and you'll get mostly the same effect as you would in a hospital setting, just over a slightly longer period of time!. I'm bipolar and healthier than everyone I know!. It has not been confirmed nor widely studied that it has anything to do with diet and an untreated person with bipolar illness can cause harm to themselves and/or others!. Look up a crisis stabilization unit or a behavioral health hospital in your area and check yourself in!. Then they can help you find ways to get help that you can afford as well as medication that you can afford!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i most likely would go!. i have bipolar and a few others!. i almost went to the hospital, not by choice though!. b-friend was gonna 302 me!. i didnt know that was my problem!. i understand that its very hard to keep it under control!.but you dont want tot do anything your gonna regretWww@Answer-Health@Com

Your totally disabled at this point!. Apply for SS & SSI benefits then they'll put you on medicare to help you with the insurance issues so you can continue your mental disability care!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. You can improve your own health!. If you've been diagnosed bi-polar, you should have a prescription for the mineral lithium!. Take it!.
