Guess what!. We're all going to die!. We don't know exactly when, but we will surely die!. Is worrying about it helping!? Do you feel you'll live longer if you stress over it!? Do you think maybe the anxiety over it is keeping you alive!?

I'm sure you're going to say "no" to those questions!. I know you aren't doing it on purpose either!. My point is that there is nothing you can do about the fact we all have to die sometime!. Do you ever think that maybe there is a wonderful place you will go when you die, and that dying won't hurt but be beautiful!? Seriously, how do you know for sure it's going to hurt and then be the end of your soul forever!?

My mom said that my grandma would tell my mom all the time growing up that she wouldn't live to see my mom's next birthday!. Of course to a little 8 year old that is devastating to hear!. So my mom was always worrying about her mom not seeing her next birthday!. My grandma always thought she was going to die at a very young age!. My grandmother is now 93 years old, and STILL worrying about dying! She spent so much energy in her life worrying over dying!. She wouldn't have been able to stop it had it happened, and she had no clue when it would happen and how it would feel, but she worried constantly!. Now she still worries, and I feel bad for her!. To live life in constant fear is no life!. She was afraid to do anything!.

Go out, live your life, have fun, and do what you need to do to try and help keep you safe and healthy like driving carefully, wearing your seatbelt, getting enough sleep, eat the right foods, exercise, don't smoke, etc!. Now doing these things won't guarantee you won't die soon, but they sure can help! If you die, you die!. Chance are it will be over so fast you won't feel anything!.

And I'm not trying to preach or anything, but consider the possibility there IS a magnificent place waiting for you after you die--a place where you will have no fear, pain, sadness, etc!. Honestly, faith really helps give one peace!.

Best wishes to you!. As soon as you start thinking about this, right away force yourself to do something else!. Hopefully you'll get to the point where you say, "Screw it!. If it's my time, it's my time!."

Oh and one more thing!.!.!.!.death can't possibly hurt more than childbirth, so once you get married and have a baby, you'll challenge death to take you on! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. Many many many people feel the same as you & suffer from a constant internal battle!. You walk around feeling as through you are putting up a front for everyone day to day while realistically you are internally battling with an emotional war all on your own!. You are absolutely not alone!. Anxiety can be very crippling & often goes hand in hand with scary irrational thoughts, & depression!. Don't let anyone discredit your feelings or call you crazy!. You will gain nothing from putting up with peoples biased judgments of you & no one has the right to tell you how you should feel or that the way you feel is wrong!. I don't turn to medicine right away, but as you said, seeing someone to talk to will be a huge load off your shoulders!. =) I truly hope you feel better & get your life back soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Please e mail me!. I'm 38 now but started the same feeling you're having when I was 19!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Stop reading the newspaper or watching the news!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've had social anxiety and intense generalized anxiety for all 22 years of my life, so I know what you're feeling right now!. Talking to your friends might not be the best way to go, because people without anxiety would have no idea what you're talking about even if they think they do!. Also, it kind of makes your relationships with your friends slightly weird if you talk about your problems too much!. I found that out the hard way and lost some good friends, which sucked!.

I've felt so awful and anxious for most of my life, including now!. I get these paranoid ideations, and I worry and think, and get absolutely nowhere!. I worry and I don't even realize I'm worrying!. I get lost in my thoughts and can't think straight or talk to people or socialize or anything!. It sucks!. I feel impending doom when I'm awake, almost every day, and in my dreams too!. I feel like I'm going insane!.

So yeah, I've felt the same as you!.

You should go see a doctor!. Be careful though!. Lots of anti-anxiety and anti-depression drugs don't work, and can actually make things worse!.

One drug you might want to try is Klonopin!. It relaxes you, doesn't have many side-effects, and doesn't make you high or knock you out like Xanax or Valium, so you can still function normally and drive a car and whatnot!.

But whatever you do, don't block out your pain!. If you do that, then you'll end up where I am and start getting symptoms of depersonalization and dissociation, which I'm stuck in and can't get out of!. If you get feelings of doom, then don't block it out!. Just live with it even though it is completely debilitating, and once you see a psychiatrist, then you'll be able to get some medicine that helps!. And if the medicine doesn't work, then stop taking it!. Psychiatry is kind of a hit-or-miss kind of thing with all the serotonin drugs, so don't waste your time taking a drug that doesn't work!.

I'd recommend Klonopin!. It isn't an SSRI/serotonin drug, and it has been really helpful to me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
