All SSRI's have a high incidence of sexual side effects for men!. The side effects are Erectile Dysfunction (Inability to get or maintain an erection) and anorgasmia (decreased sensitivity and difficulty having an orgasm!. Women can also get sexual side effects from SSRI's (Zoloft is an SSRI)!. The ones I know of are decreased Libido ( decreased desire for sex, decreased sensation and decreased ability to have an orgasm!.
When I say these meds have a "high" incidence of these side effects, I don't mean everyone gets them but even if 20% of people get those side effects, that Is a high incidence in my book!.
The 2 antidepressants that have the lowest incidents of sexual side effects that I know of are, Serzone (nefazodone) and Wellbutrin (bupropion)!.
All of the above being said, Zoloft can be an effective antidepressant and many people don't have serious side effects from taking it!. I hope that something I have written has been helpful!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
