Help emotionally? Please?!

Question: Help emotionally!? Please!?
I've never really had much belief in therapy or anything, even though both my mom and sister have seen therapists for depression and bipolar disorder respectively!. However lately I've been thinking about giving in and talking to someone because I've gotten to a point where I'm pretty much a mess!. I've always had a really bad problem expressing myself with words, it gets so bad that when I was a kid I would literally meltdown because I was so frustrated!. I don't mean this in a bragging way but I've always been very intelligent but there's so many thoughts in my head I can't sort them out enough to be able to use anything I know!. I also have problems with managing my anger!. I feel very alone in life, even though I have friends and close family!. The only way I can really say it is that I don't feel right in my own skin!. I have problems arranging the thoughts in my head!. In your opinion, if you've had therapy, does it help!? Or does anyone have similar problems!? If so, how do you cope!? Please I've been dealing with this since I was little and I'd really appreciate any help I can get!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've had the same kind of problems - still do sometimes!. Yes therapy helped me overcome my almost-pathological shyness!. It sounds like your mind freezes up when you are talking to someone, I have the same problem!. It is something I have to work very hard at, and it doesn't always work out too well!.

There are mindfulness websites that can help you to learn to be more relaxed!. Mindfulness is when you are able to focus on what you are doing, and nothing else!. It sounds like you have too many things going on in your head, sort of like machine gun thoughts, and can't grab hold of one long enough that you can express it!. You may be concentrating too much on what you anticipate people will think of you, and you become confused!. Mindfulness and therapy could help you with that!.

I am not where I want to be but I'm slowly getting there!. It is important that you get counselling for this problem - it is not likely to get better by itself!. If you've had this since you were little then you are likely so used to it that it's second nature, and will take a lot of hard work to overcome, but it's very possible!.

Good luck!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Absolutely do speak with a therapist!. What a perfect way to learn to open up and sort through thoughts and feelings and be able to communicate them with someone else!. Can practice with counselor!.

As you know, the anger is more than likely related to frustration in not communicating effectively!.

Can also practice trying to put words to your thoughts!. Instead of thinking them, put words to them in your mind!. But this requires slowing them down a little!. Since we can process a thought within a nanosecond, it isn't surprising anyone would have a problem keeping them all straight, let alone putting words to them!.

Sounds like you are on the right track to overcoming your issue!.!.!.!.good job!!

Good luck!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi there,

Therapy isn't a hoax- it really does work!. These people don't go to school for 6+ years and get paid $100 an hour for no reason!. They're just like an outside source looking in on the problem or situation, and they don't choose sides!. My mom has been going to her counseling every other week for years now, and it helps her tremendously!. I, too, had some problems growing up!. I saw a counselor for a few years, and it set me straight again as well!.

It's your choice; this is just my opinion :)

Good luck,
