Question: Help me please!!!!?!?!!!!!!!?
this will be long but please help me!.
i have obsessive compulsive disorder and it makes me worry about my bf!. not just regular worry, like irrational freaking out that something is gonna happen to him, he has asthma, that's part of it!.
i am completely in love with him, we've had crushes on each other since 8th grade and now we've been dating for 1 year and 8 months!.
we are getting married and we love each other more than ANYTHING!.
me and him cant really see each other much because we got in trouble for having sex so all we really have is school and the phone most of the time!. he's in a band and he chooses his friends over talking to me all the time and it makes me worry that the reason why is because they are more important than me!. he has this certain friend who acts kinda gay although he swears he isnt and my bf defends him that hes straight and all of his friends joke around and act gay and it worries me, what if he was!.!.
i know he's not but i cant take it!.
and he gets so mean about not talking on the phone even for a couple minutes when he's with his friends!. and his temper is so bad with me!.
but then he says sorry and i know he truly means it!.!.
the main problem is my OCD!. ive tried to tell my mom a couple of times but she thinks im "making myself believe i have ocd!."
i have done plenty of research and i know for a fact i have it!.
theres nothing i can do, i cant go to a psychiatrist or anything like that and i have tried to get rid of it on my own but it never works!.
i also found some "st!. johns wort" herbal meds but they dont really work!.!.
my ocd and my bf's temper are ruining our relationship and i have tried everything!.

I have OCD, have overcome it, and have started a support group for kids with OCD (see ocdkidssacramento Yahoo Group) along with the help of my parents, who are both doctors!. These sympstoms seem classic of those of individuals with OCD, but you need a clear diagnosis!. Once you get diagnosed (or if you've already gotten diagnosed), you need to seek the help of a therapist treatined specifically in the treatment of OCD!. Go to www!.ocfoundation!.org to see if there is a specialist in you area!. Many people have these kinds of fears!. Know that you're not alone!. Different phobias are often found among individuals with OCD, and ultimately it comes down to facing your fear (not practicing relaxing techniques or distracting yourself)!. You need Exposure and Ritual Prevention therapy, not only medicine, to get over your fears!. Seek professional help immediately, get the right treatment (Exposure and Response Prevention or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) from a qulified OCD therapist and commit yourself to working at it, get medication if necessary, and you will be on the road to recovery!Www@Answer-Health@Com

St!. John's wort will not work for OCD!. St John's wort works by keeping the brain from reabsorbing serotonin, hence allowing more of it to circulate!.

OCD has been linked to dopamine levels in the brain!.

Wrong brain chemical!.

Your mother may not take you seriously, but that does not negate the fact that you have a problem!.

if you think you have a problem, then you have a problem!.

In fact, you are really the only person to say "YES, I HAVE A PROBLEM"!. When it comes to mental health, NO ONE can say that "something is NOT wrong", the fact that you think something is wrong, is enough evidence to say that help is needed!.

The only time where someone has the right to butt in on this matter is when you have a problem you DON'T see!.

Even if your problem is that you are "blowing things out of proportion" is a problem all by it's self!.

So- no matter how you slice it!.!.!. still a problem!.

Why does your mother say you are "Making" yourself this way!.
Is she trained as a mental professional!? Has she researched now these conditions progress, and possible cause and side effect!?

If you are a minor, and still going to school, go talk to your school councilor!.

Most school systems actually have a psychiatrist on staff somewhere within the system, if not right at your school!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

How old are you and you bf!. Unless you are under 16 why would both of your parents ground you!?!?!?!? It sounds like bf is making the best of the situation and realizing he can sulk or let life go on and do the things he enjoys doing!. If he's gay he's gay and it's time to move on!. If he says he's not gay then believe him and take your punishment and go on!.; If he's Trulysorry for acting mean why would he do it again!?!?!?
As far as the OCD go to the school counselor and ask for help!. Medication is only part of the answer the real issue is counseling!. What ruined your relationship is having sex before your parents thought you were old enough!.
Bottom line talk to school advisor or counselor and if they think there is an issue they will have your parents take you to the doctor!. Other than being unhappy about your situation with boyfriend you describe no symptoms of OCD!. God Bless ReggieWww@Answer-Health@Com

Sweetheart the last thing you need in your life is a boyfriend like this!. A boy who really cares about you wants you to be happy and will treat you well and nice!. There is a teen crisis line staffed by professionals that can help you with your ocd and what you are going through with your boyfriend the number is 1-800-833-5948!. Your mom really needs to get help for you!. You can also go to your school counselor they are trained to help you!. Don't keep this to yourself you need to talk to adults who can help you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Real love is hard to find!. If you really love him you will try to get help which you are!.

There is a book that has helped quite a few people with ocd and I think it will help you to!. I recommend you try it and things should turn around for you!.
