Answers:
yes that happens to me!. it's like, as soon as i have a chance to sit down or lie down and relax at all!.!.!.!.my mind cannot stop!!! i start thinking about everything and totally over analyzing! the worst is when i lay down to sleep!. that's when it really kicks in!. i've actually struggled with insomnia issues since i was a little girl because of this!.

basically!.!.!.!.i think it's normal!. however, if it starts interfering with the quality of your life it's time to seek help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Maybe you simply have a very active mind, usually a sign of intelligence!. It sounds like you need to learn how to quiet your mind, meditation and mindfulness skills might be able to help you calm down all that "chatter!."
Just curious; do you have the same emotions when you recall movies and past events, or whatever!? Do you actually relive experiences over in your mind, with all the emotions, thoughts etc!.!?
Meditation can and does help me go to sleep!. Try to listen to your heartbeat, and count your breaths, up to four, and then start over again!. This will help you focus on one thing, your body!. Just concentrate on your your breathing and heartbeat, just listen!. This should help you push away those intrusive thoughts!.

There are many books and tapes on mindfulness and meditation!. Any bookstore will have them!. There are also lots of websites!. Google mindfulness!. (Sorry, I don't have any addresses handy!.)

Like I said, it takes time and lots of practice!. But if you believe you can do it, you will!. Be patient!.

To answer your question, it is not normal if it is interfering with your life!. I had the same problem, and still do sometimes!. It takes some lifestyle changes but it's a lot less severe than it was!.

First of all please completely disregard what Austin said!.
NO legit or good counselor would tell someone online JUST like that that you have ADD!. They would have you come in for an appointment and give you an mental health evaluation!. They would ask you so many questions about your history, childhood, ect!. What an absolute idiot!!!

Shut the f*ck up Austin!.

I'm not sure if your mind is just wandering as many of ours do when we try and sit and relax!. Or is it severe worrying!? You said you think about things that can't and won't happen!.!.!.!. that makes me think worry and possibly anxiety!.
Worry and anxiety are normal to some extent!. But only you know how severe it is to not be "normal"!. Is it persistent and beginning to affect your life!? If it is that is not "normal" or healthy and I would advise consulting a counselor and being evaluated!.
