Question: They want me out of the program!.!. Help please!!?
I'm a nursing student!. and I'm struggling in nursing, mostly in clinicals!.!. I'm always nice to everyone and i try really hard to make it through each course!. But recently something has gotten to me so bad!.
I found out today that several students (including the instructor) signed a petition to not just get me out Med Surg 1 clinical, but the entire nursing program!.!. I cried for hours after that, i've never once said anything mean wrong to anyone, if anything i always tried to fit in with the rest of them!. I don't talk much, but it's because i'm kinda shy and 'm intimidated by a lot of older students in my clinical!.!.!.
I countinued to talk to these people throught the program not knowing how they felt about me, until today!. It hurts so much!. I feel unworthy!.!.i don't know why they'd want me gone, I'm 20 years old, 5 feet tall, i'm foreign, i have an accent, i smile a lot, i don't know some things, i try really hard to succeed!.!.

hMMM!. The liklihood is that they wouldn't go out of their way to get you out if there wasn't a reeeallly good reason!. And apparently, they're not doing it because you're not "nice" enough!.!.!.!. I can't imagine what could be so extreme!. But you did say you were struggling!. And you said you continually talked with these people!. Maybe you are struggling to such an extent, or react to such an extent, that you are interfering in some way with other people's learning!? e!.g!., asking a lot of questions that are way below the level you should be at!? (like things you should have known the answer to a looong time ago; things that maybe are the most elementary basics that everybody else is way past) There's a good chance they didn't do this out of meanness, but rather out of annoyance and/or a legit judgement that you were waaay beneath the level you should be!.
There might be some self-insight things going on!.!.!. if you didn't see something this extreme coming (it sounds like you really had no idea, and looking back, you still can't understand), it might help to talk to a counselor!. Either way, a counselor would also help you to cope with what has happened; it's understandably an upsetting thing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is just a guess but I think it is probably because of one of these two reasons!.
1!. They think you do not have the aptitude for nursing
2!. You are extremely slow and it is holding the entire class back
I have dropped classes because a student could not get it and the instructor was still teaching first week material after six weeks!.

Well, you have to make sure this is true, but I would leave the program and seek out another one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Did one person tell you this!? It could be that s/he is lying to you!. If you heard it from more than one person, you can talk to the instructor and find out if it's true, and if so why!. If you don't feel you can talk to the instructor, you can go to the Dean of Nursing or the head of the nursing program and ask if it's true!.
Don't assume it's true until you know!. If it is true, find out why!.
There is such a great need for nurses that the only reason to reject someone is if they can't pass the coursework, and that's not what you're talking about here!. This sounds really strange!. Usually your classmates are happy to just let you flunk out!. It makes them look better in comparison!. They actually signed a petition to have you kicked out!?!?!? I have never heard anything like this!. So you say this is in your clinical!. Do you work in teams by any chance!? Does each team member get the same grade!? Are you dragging down the grades of your team!? Are they the ones who signed the petition!? In that case, I guess I can kind of see this!. It sounds kind of immature and petty though!. If someone was dragging down my grade, I'd just make sure that I never worked with them ever again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
