Answers:
Sounds like you have more going on than SAD (seasonal affective disorder)!. Paranoia is not typically a symptom of SAD, nor is self-harm behavior!. You would do well to see your therapist (or get a therapist if you don't have one)!.

In the meantime, take some pro-active steps to take better care of yourself!. Make an effort to not isolate!. Get out with friends, find some wintertime activities you can participate in (ice skating, for instance)!. Activities that have you out in the open air getting some of that limited (winter) sunshine can help immensely!. I know it's hard to do when you are suffering from depression!. Problem is that isolating only makes it worse!. So do your best to fight the urge to isolate!.

Eat healthy!.!.!.meaning no junk food and no sugar!. It may surprise you to learn that junk food can cause many problems that have their origin in the brain!. That's because junk food is loaded with artificial ingredients, many of which are neurotoxic!.!.!.toxic (or poisonous) to the brain and nervous system!. Sugar is also very hard on the nervous system because it burns up B vitamins at an alarming rate!. B vitamins are critical for a healthy nervous system (the brain is part of the nervous system)!.

In addition to a healthy diet, you can try some of these supplements:
* a good multi-vitamin and mineral formula to be sure you are getting a good balance of nutrients (follow directions on package for dosing)
* a B100 complex (take one daily) to be sure your system has adequate levels
* a good EFA (essential fatty acid) formula; EFAs are necessary to maintain healthy nervesWww@Answer-Health@Com
