Question: Do you think it was inappropriate for my counselor to do this!? !?
This morning I got the shock of my life when three of my counselors showed up at my house unexpectedly!. The main purpose of the visit was to have a deep meaningful chat about my mental wellbeing!. It was very unexpected as they didn't even call me in advance!. I usually have my sessions in the hospital so I felt it was very inappropriate for them to come and have a session at my own home especially in front of members of my family which I felt deeply uncomfortable with!. Does anyone else agree that it was inappropriate!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I do! I would be so upset if my counselor did that!. The things that i talk about with my counselor are not at all anything that i would want made public to my family that's WHY i go to a counselor!. i think you should say something because that's inappropriate!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
If they decided that an emergency meeting in your home was necessary, it must have been because they feared you were either a danger to yourself or to others!. If that was the case, then they had no choice: not intervening immediately would have put their careers in jeopardy!. If so, you have to just remember that they aren't setting out to be rude or inappropriate; they're just doing their jobs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Unless there was something desperately wrong, or if one of your family members had called them in, then I think it was definitely inappropriate to not even call beforehand!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
