Question: What kind of mental illness do you think my boyfriend suffered from!?
borderline personality disorder!? bipolar!? severe depression!? or just plain drama queen!?
symptoms: This person seems to be completely charming, makes me feel I am the queen of England!. Very clingy, very needy!. extremely sensitive!. Also make commends like, "If you leave me, I'd kill myself so you will forever have blood on your hands!."
Twice suicide attempts, first time, cut his wrist open right in front of my eyes, second time, sent me a photo of his bloody arms, in order to make it look even more horrifying, he put tomato sauce on top of his arm!. Highly manipulative, story is not consistent, lack of responsibilities or boundaries!. E!.g!. blame on everybody for his job loss, very argumentative, think he's the smartest person in the world!. claim others are threatened by his talents and experiences, that is why he cannot get a new job as fast as he could!.
Having troubles maintain good relationship with his own parents, have difficulties bonding with his own little daughter!.(all relationships seem to be love hate love hate type of thing)
Court ordered anger management 20 years ago!. One suicide attempt while he was in college right in front of his own mother!. Several suicide threats while dating his ex girlfriend!.
I presents all these symptoms to my counselor, she said, this person seems to suffer from borderline personality disorder!. what do you think!.

making comments like, My mind is racing, the only time I am happy is while I am with you!. Breaking up is impossible because he will give you guilt trips after guilt trips make you feel like you are the worst individual in the world!.
Both time he had suicidal threats, I honestly thought that were due to me wanting to break up!. that is why I feel very guilty!. I might have said some harsh things though I don't quite remember what I said anymore!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I agree with your counselor!. Borderline Personality Disorder is quite a heavy diagnosis because it really is a combination of all the above listed illnesses, and therefore it is not only difficult to correctly diagnose, but once it is, it has a high amount of stigma due to the violence and manipulative behavior (i!.e!. Sugar, talk to his mama!. Tell her you want to get out and are not responsible for his actions!. Together you need to decide if medical mental intervention is necessary for the suicide threats!.
