Question: Why does my sister need psychiatry!?
Okay this may seem very noisy, but in my opinion, it is for the best!. On Tuesday morning my sister reminded my mom to make "that" appointment!. I asked what the appt!. was for and they wouldn't tell me!. I let it drop though, partly because I forgot about it, that was until today at least!. The phone rang, and my sister answered!. She passed the phone to my mom, who confirmed an appointment!. Afterwards, my mom told me she would be a tad late picking me up from school, because she had to take Emily to an appt!. I got really curious and looked at caller ID and typed in the number on www!.yellowpages!.com On it was a doctor for psychiatry!. I looked even more into it and psyciatry is for people to prevent and treat mental disorders!. My sister is NOT mental! She's defintely not Albert Einstein, but she's not physco! Can you please give me any ideas as to why she may be going!.

Sounds like you are concerned about what's happening with your sister!. It also sounds like your sister and your mom want to keep the situation quiet for now!. Whatever their reasons, you should respect that!.
That said, let me clarify 'mental' to you!. You seem to have an idea that 'mental' does not apply to your sister!. There are some mental disorders that involve psychotic behaviors, for sure!. But that's not all of them, not by a long shot!. Many folks suffer from depression, and do not present with any behaviors that wave a big MENTAL flag, meaning their behavior is not psychotic or bizarre in any way!. Anxiety disorders also are plentiful, and again, do not (necessarily) involve any behavior that would have you saying that person is crazy!.
We all have mental health, in the same way that we all have physical health!. Someone can have a physical health problem (such as diabetes) that isn't apparent at a glance, likewise, someone can suffer from a mental health problem and not present with any apparent visible symptoms!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
