If you have recovered from depression please answer?!

Question: If you have recovered from depression please answer!?
If you have been getting help for your depression was there a moment where things seem to click and you started helping yourself to overcome it!? Was there a moment where everything your nurse/key worker said just drummed in your head and you felt you could fight this and help yourself!?

Could you explain what happened to you please!? Need some hope!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yea that was the start!.!.!.talking to this counselor and she was talking and making me feel so good about myself, gave me real confidence!. (I stopped feeling sorry for myself for being through horrible events and felt strong for being able to overcome them) I dont really know how to explain!. Don't get scared though if you have sad days too and feel the depression lingering, just know you will have alot better days!. I mean when I was depressed I couldn't have ever imagined that my life would have turned out the way it is and that I could be so happy!. It's like I had a cloud over me and after time it just went away!. With mine though I had to eliminate factors that were triggering it like my ex and other things!. Good luck!. You will be ok if you are at this point!. I stopped taking meds too and did it on my own!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You have to try to put your past behind you and live for the future, you have to believe in yourself, decide how you want your future to be, you cannot change the past, you need to put it down to experience whether good or bad, i have been to hell and back, it is my past experiences that help me to help others!. Eventually, it will seem to you that you are coming out of a forest, it is like you have been somewhere else and suddenly you are back in reality, trust me, trust in yourself, you can do this, if you need or would like to talk, then please email me`take care!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I havent no but my mum is a psychiatric health care worker and she says more patients get better than dont so, hang on in there hun, get all the help you are offered, take all the opportunities that present themselves when you feel up to it, and try to focus on the positive things in your life!. Go see your GP for help to overcome this, all the help is out there for you, you just make sure you get it!. All the very best for the future and I hope its rosy for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I just realized how short life is!. You don't know if you'll ever get a second chance at it!. I've known too many people who have died much too young and fallen ill too fast, it's not worth thinking about death constantly because before you know it, your time will come!. You just have to know there won't always be a tomorrow so live for what you have, and if you feel you have nothing, find something!.

You can always change things for yourself, I know it's hard but it's life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had a major turning point about three years ago!. It was two-fold!. Firstly at the mental health centre where we hold a drop in there was a poster saying something along the lines of "I started to get better when I realised I needed to take control of my moods/illness instead of letting my mood take over me" which is very hard to do and takes some getting used to!. Also I had some counselling through MIND which, again, I needed to be at a certain point of "wellness" before I could deal with a few issues!. I have bipolar disorder and when they finally got the combination of medication right I stabilised along with the above!. All the best to you - it is possible to get to a point where you enjoy and even love life!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I went through a bed break up a few years back, my ex stopped me seeing my daughter out of spite! I was in a state! I saw my GP, he put me anti-depressents, I was on them for about a month, I was seeing a councelor and had no effect at all on me!

One day I woke up, threw all my pills down the toilet, went outside took a massive deep breath, told myself I was going to get through this MY way! I went for a run and have never looked back! I now see my daughter regularly and am due to re-marry this march to a wonderful lady that I love very much!

Just my way of doing things worked for me! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well what you have to understand is the best psychologist you can confirm to is you!! sure you can get help from a psychologist but you have your self Jesus & loved ones! tell someone how your feeling & whats going on don't be shy, nervous or embarrassed

What made me overcome my depression was realizing that I'm the one thats in control not my mind nor emotions I'm running this!! it's not easy to overcome depression some people stay depressed for days months, & even years without telling a living soul how they feel!! if thats you bad idea

The best way to overcome it is to keep your mind busy & keep positiveWww@Answer-Health@Com
