Yes, learn deep relaxation techniques!. yoga is good!. the main thing is not to worry about lack of sleep!. Your body will decide when you need sleep!. Sometime a person can not sleep because they have not had enough physical activity throughout the day!. Moderate exercise like a half an hours walk is very helpful!. Do not watch scary movies before going to bed or read horror stories in bed!. If you are lying in bed feeling agitated then get up and do some quiet activity until you feel ready to ready to go to sleep!. I find writing letters very helpful but everone is different!. Ring someone up if it is not too late!. Listen to talkback radio and join all the other insomniacs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Focus on imagining a soft, glowing, warm ball of white light at the base of your feet that is very very slowly moving up toward your head!. As it moves, allow the part of your body that it is passing to COMPLETELY relax!. Release your muscles, your tension, let the energy drain out and imagine that it is flowing down down down into your bed, melting into the floor, down into the earth!.

Do not allow the ball of light to continue it's journey until the complete and total relaxation has occurred!. Continue on up past your feet, legs, knees, etc!. -go inch by inch!. Once you reach your head, if you are still awake, begin again and relax yourself even deeper!.

On another note: Make sure that your bed and pillow are soft and clean!. Lavender essential oil is a calming scent that you may want to use a drop or two in your sleeping quarters!. Turn any alarm clocks or other lights away from you!. You want as complete darkness as possible!. Bananas and turkey are good for inducing relaxation!. A hot bath before bed is good also!. Try reading until you cannot read anymore also -I do that sometimes and get very good sleep that way!.

Melatonin may be something to look into as an ultimate last resort if you absolutely cannot get any rest, but I would thoroughly research it first!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yoga and deep breathing repetitive breathing i like to day dream before i try and fall a sleep or sometimes i make my self scared by making my room extra dark and kinda scare myself to sleep (weird but it works when i have to sleep) try eating till your full i know i fall asleep easy when im full and warm an cozy but not to warm or you will get uncomfortable get a recording of the ocean and play it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sleeping is a part of life!. It is automatic!. Take examples from nature!. It is not a specialized knowledge!. See how other living things are performing!. See how an innocent child behaves!. Such things are not taught to children!. They get it automatically!. Similarly birds and animals get this knowledge of their own!.
