the problem is what you leave behind!. you leave the people behind that love you and they each feel its their fault and they dont' k now how they could have made it better for you!. they will grief for a very long time and soemtimes parents hardly ever get over it!. its very sad for all involved and even firend sthey can't hardly deal with it either and nope its not your right to end your life!. its very wrong why would you get to go and leave this world and not face what you have to face that is far harder then dying and if you do that you are messing up big time!. you have to work at living and being happy and that si what you do!. you also have so many people invovle din your life its wrong to leave here with out them!. so you jsut wait and stay with us we'll all be happier with you here and not gone before your time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Clearly, as the other poster has said, many people have religious/faith-based reasons to oppose suicide!.
Another point of view is that many suicide attempts are made under extreme duress and the person attempting suicide may not be thinking clearly or rationally!.
Additionally, as you stated in your question "it is my life right" you are absolutely correct, however the person's act of suicide likely affects other people (family, friends, police, healthcare workers) and can be viewed as a selfish act!.
Also, assisted suicide may be illegal because people may be in danger of being coerced into suicide by doctors because of their perceived authority!.

While it is normal to have suicidal thoughts, suicide has a much larger physical, social, moral and emotional impact than most people ever realize!. Although suicide from your point of view, can seem to be a logical, easy solution to a chronic problem!.!.!. it is neither logical nor easy for other people in your life!.

* There may be people standing on the sidelines, knowing that you are in pain and wishing that they could help you!. There is a very strong debate over the "right to die!." I personally believe that it is, indeed, everyone's right!. & if you were dying of a terminal illness, and you wanted an escape from your last days of pain, I would support that!.
However, I don't believe anyone has the right to take away a life (theirs or anyone else's) that means something to someone!. It isn't so much that it's wrong to end your own life!. Exactly correct!. It's not you offing yourself that's the issue!. The issue is that you commit a very selfish act by taking your life and just basically telling everyone else in your life that they mean nothing!. The people who love you, your friends, your community, etc!. etc!.

If the question is why is it illegal, then I can only say it's the same reason seatbelts are mandatory!. Im pretty sure no one who plans on committing suicide consults with an attorney about potential posthumous prosecution!. But it is illegal mostly to give the impression that the government is anti suicide!. Plus theres no pro suicide action group protesting the lawWww@Answer-Health@Com

I guess because murder is murder even if it is to yourself!. But truelly think of all the people who know and care about you they will be devistated if you die!. God put you on this world and he could of put somebody else, your lucky to live and it would be stupid to take that away from yourself!.
