Question: Help!?! what should i do if i want to!?
cut!? i've been doing it for 5 years {since i was ten, now im 15}!.!.!.!.long story!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

try a rubber band around your wrist and snap it when you feel like cutting!.
or, make some ice cubes that are dyed red and when you feel like cutting hold one in your hand until it melts!. the cold will provide pain and the dripping red will resemble blood!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not a cutter, but I know that mental pain manifests itself in many different forms!. Some people abuse alcohol, some drugs, some abuse people, and some cut!.

To treat the underlying issues is probably best!. I don't have much info, but I'm guessing that you cut to ease pain!? I've heard that cutters try to ease emotional as well as physical pain!.

Due to your age I know it's hard to tell you to just "find a doctor" who can help you!. This is where it's tricky!. Again, due to the reason you're wanting to cut, there may be many different ways to help you eliminate these desires!. It's obvious by your question that you want to stop!.

I guess it's out of the question to ask you if you want to talk to your parents!. That was the last thing I wanted to do when I was your age!. Do you have a person you can trust that you can be accountable to, a friend maybe, that you could call when you feel these urges!?

If you go to church or have a religous leader you can trust, I would suggest talking to them!. You need help to heal the wounds that are causing the pain!. Treating the underlying issue is what is going to help!.

Maybe see a counselor or join a group with other young people who do the same thing, because in no way is this your fault so don't feel bad because I used to have a friend at school who would cut herself and all she needed was someone who could relate to what she did, so there is always help out there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

ummm i really don't think you should do that anymore, there are other things you can do, squeeze a stress ball, throw a pillow, listen to music, meditate, insense (sp!?), talk to friends, get out of the house, etc!. but doing THAT is not always the best thing to do!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
