Check online at the Walmart website to see if Lexapro is in their $4!.00 per prescription list, if not below is the website to apply for help through the drug manufacturer of Lexapro!.!.Forest Pharmaceuticals!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Have her talk to her doctor about the patient assistance program!. She will have go through her doctor to get the proper paperwork to fill out!. Patient assistance are for people who are on limited incomes and cannot afford to pay full price for medications!. Depending on the income level the medications can be gotten for free or at a reduced rate!. She will need to have proof of income or lack of income in order to qualify!. The $4!.00 Wal-Mart plan doesn't work for Lexapro as it isn't a generic medication!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your key here *might* be the MD who wrote the order!. If there's a generic version of the drug available at a discounted rate (and I think there is), your mom can have the script filled for cheaper so long as the MD wrote the script that substitutions are OK (there's a little box on the corner of the paper where they approve this)!. That's the first step!.

If the MD has OK'd the substitution (not all do, but many will), then you need to start calling around to legitimate local pharmacies to see what they sell it for!. Most pharmacists are extremely understanding of the cost involved with meds and will help you out!. Then, you simply pick the best priced legitimate pharmacist and take your substitution-allowed script to that place!. Of course, it's still not cheap and will depend on the dosage (5 mg versus 10mg etc), but it may be the start!.

And by all means, it's never wise to stop a drug w/o your doctor's knowledge and approval, since they're written for a reason to begin with!. So if the money becomes a major issue and the substitution still doesn't work, go back to the doctor and explain your problem and they may be able to write a different, similar drug script that can still help you but not ruin your pocketbook!.

Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any *legitimate* way to avoid the clinic again, since meds are a serious thing and I'm wicked freaky deaky about messing around with a serious thing!. But if it's a med issue, many doctors don't charge a visit fee for this sort of thing, if you're a patient of record and they're the writing physician!. But call ahead and check, if you want to be certain!. Acute care clinics, however, will most likely charge you!. Again, call ahead!.

And don't forget, there's usually a "free" clinic in most major cities that you can check out if you qualify for this service!. Check your local phone book or online to see!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
