As N!.P!.O said, it depends on the severity of the depression!. Many people apparently find St Johns wort effective for milder depression!. Personally, I didnt find it useful but I was later diagnosed with severe depression!. Its one of those things where the only way to find out if it will help you is to try it!. If you had a psychical health problem, you probably wouldnt hestitate to take prescribed medication and I think you should treat mental health problems the same way!. OK Then!.!.!.St Johns wort is only be proven to be effective in mild depression, Prescription drugs such as Prozac is more effective but I will say it again!.!.!.!.you MUST make sure your body is completely clear of prescription anti-depressants before you start to try st!.
