Question: Does anyone know somebody with borderline personality disorder!?
Is anyone close to someone with BPD!? If so, how do you help them!? I am very experienced with major depressive disorder, but when it comes to borderline, it's hard for me to know what to do!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have a lot of experience with borderline personality disorder (women mainly)!. And sadly there really isn't a thing you can do!. They are very set in there ways!. Medication can help somewhat but other than that I've never seen a borderline change, and that's in eight years working in mental health!. You can give them positive attention and somehow they take that and use it in a negative way!. You can ignore them, then they'll just "go off"!. I think most people with the disorder will usually end up in jail!.You have to remember there not mentally retarded!. They know EXACTLY what they are doing!. Most of them belong in jail!. They have no empathy towards others and are very selfish!. Theres nothing you can do to help someone like that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Boy - hard to say what you could ever do for a Borderline Personality!. They've been so horribly abused, and they're so insecure that there's really nothing much you can do!. You can try, but after a while when you have to give up, don't be too hard on yourself!.
The only person who can help you is yourself, and a borderline personality will sometimes seek therapy, but it doesn't often do them much good!. Their minds have been torn up pretty bad!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well there's not much you can do with BPD!. I think my grandma had it!. Does someone you know have it!? She had a long and hard life!. I would suggest some talk therapy for the person and maybe some help if the person experiences anxiety or depression, but there is really nothing specific that I know of for BPD!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You can't really do anything for someone with BPD!. Unfortunately if you don't buy into their view of things they will find a way to push you away completely!. I have know someone with BPD!. The sad truth is that there really isn't anything you can do to change them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
