I have generalized anxiety disorder which when it first started I thought the same thing that I was going crazy!. You mind has you believe things that are unimaginable!. You are NOT going crazy no matter how much you think you are!. Look up information on anxiety and generalized anxiety!. I think you will feel better that what you are experiencing will fall into that category!. I needed meds!. to help with and it helped alot!. You may or may not need meds!. Once you read about and get more knowledgeable you can make that decision!. I prefer seeing a psychiatrist vs!. a family dr!. because they are more knowledgeable in meds!. That is just from my experience!. But you have to find one you like!. I question mine all the time and he is ok with that!. If they get mad and refuse to answer your questions find a new one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Everyone has irrational thoughts!. As someone else here said, recognition that your way of thinking isn't normal is a good sign!.

Secondly, don't believe everything that people online tell you!. Unless they can prove their medical expertise, they have no right to give you a diagnosis!.

This might sound a little silly, but it could easily be your dietary habits causing your mental trouble!. If you typically eat the same kind of thing every day, like a lot of junk food, your brain is working overtime to compensate for the lack of nutrition!.
Take the next couple of days and write down everything you eat!. You'll probably notice a pattern!.
After that, make sure to eat some fruit and vegetables!. Have a healthy breakfast, and avoid anything heavily caffeinated!. If you're drinking alcohol frequently, take a break from that as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

most people who "go crazy" don't even realise that their mental thoughts are no longer normal so the fact that you acknowledge your thoughts are not what they used to be is a good sign!. It sounds like you are totally bored, so your mind is making up games to occupy itself!. What do you do all day!?!? Why not go for a walk, visit friends, go to the library, join a group for something you are interested in!? There is a whole world outside your home, I'm sure your mind would enjoy the stimulation of participating in it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I DON'T think you're a schizophrenic or on drugs!. Has anything major happened in your life that you think would impact this!? Why did you think you were having these thoughts!? The same thing happens to me, I'm very squeamish, and I fear most things!. One scenario is my house has a lot of windows and the forest is basically my backyard!. At night I can't even be by the windows because it just makes me frightened or worried somethings going to come through!. I mean my gut is like nothing is going to happen, but then the other half me is like holy crap holy crap! Some advice would maybe layoff any scary movies, and when you start to think like this just tell yourself you are alright!. If this doesn't work try talking on the phone or talking to anyone!. Sometimes its just nice to have someone to talk to when you're worried about something or you're anxious!. Hope this helps!. =)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think that your world has "shrunk" and you need to make it bigger!. Once you've been home for that long, all the time, it gets harder and harder to go out and be "in the real world"!.

Start slow, create a routine!. Example - always go to the grocery store on Thursday!. Then, once that's feels right, make a stop at the drugstore or pet store or maybe even for a cup of coffee (take a book)!. Once you get a bit more comfortable being out in the world, start asking someone to meet you for coffee or lunch once a month, then twice a month!.

Then, think about doing some volunteer work (at the local library or hospital)!. Once that starts to feel "comfortable" - you'll know that you've started to control what you do, who you are and how you do it!.

THATS WHEN YOU'LL FEEL LIKE YOU CAN TAKE ON THE NEXT HURDLE!

I hope you feel better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Seek a psychiatrist immediately!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

sometimes we go through episodes of this!. I have moderate ocd and I get irrational thoughts and vulgar/intrusive involuntary thoughts that make me want to puke!. I am on meds and I do go to a therapist!. the difference with you and me is I have been this way for most of my life!. I never realized it until the stress meter was turned up and all my comforts were taken away and I didnt have much excitement in life!. ive been this bad for about a year!. before that I had random puffs of ocd and irrational thinking!. today I was actually thinking man Im going insane!. My doc says at the time we start to rationalise with thoughts we have lost!. I felt that way about my mind forcing me to believe crap!. I know the truth I was there in the situation but our minds somehow trick us into believing otherwise!. it's like the scary thoughts multiply so much that they blot out the truth!. you might just have too much free time!. I myself am affected no matter if Im busy or not but you seem to not be doing very much!. I recomend going to a therapist and explaining yourself!. professionals can help!. I almost felt as if I was all alone in this battle but according to the truth there are so many people dealing with what we deal with!. most people hide it!. Im not saying you have ocd Im just saying it took going to a therapist to realize whats wrong with me and what I need to do to fix it!. I understand the whole my mind is litterally scaring me!. at times Im so scared from my thoughts It's like Im frozen and nothing else matters but dealing with the thoughts!. Just remember they are only thoughts!. also remember your mind is overreacting and it makes you sortof feel like the whole world knows what you are thinking and it's scary!. but therapists can help!. they deal with tons of people who need treatment!. hey they deal with me!. I bet you are not as bad as me!. I hope this makes you feel better!. it made me feel better talking to somebody!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
