To me, it seems like you might be manic!. I think you should make an appointment with a psychologist first!. If he/she feels that you need medication you'll be referred to a psychiatrist!.

A lot of communities have programs based on your income!. Look for "counseling services" in the yellow pages and ask them for their patient assistance programs!. I don't make a lot of money and I receive my services for free!. If you need medication, they can help pay for that too!.

The main difference between a psychiatrist and a psychologist is the psychiatrist can write prescriptions and in a lot of situations, that's all they do!. I see both!. My psychologist helps me get through my issues and helps me develop my coping skills!. My psychiatrist provides me with my medications based on my psychologists evaluations!. I have been in counseling for over a year and it has changed my life considerably!. Of course, every day isn't perfect!. I still have my ups and downs but they aren't as severe as they were in the past!. The most important thing is to be honest with whoever you see!. They are bound by confidentially and can be trusted!.

I wish the best for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When you call or go in, tell them you are not doing very well and you would like to be evaluated by a psychiatrist!. They will check your insurance and someone will get in touch with you to set up an appointment!. You may also be able to be seen at an out patient Psych!. Clinic in a hospital!. Please don't feel ridiculous!. Psychiatrists and therapists are use to working with people with all kinds of problems!. You are not alone!. I hope you will feel better soon!. Best Wishes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

First off, see your family Doctor, and talk to him!. He may refer you to a psychiatrist!. I suffer from depression!. I take a medication for it!.
At times my thoughts would be rushing so fast, and I couldn't sleep!. I developed major insomnia!.My body was tired but my brain wouldn't stop!.

To this day I sometimes scramble my words when I am speaking, so I laugh, and so does everyone else!. It is just me, I guess!.

Good Luck, and you are not alone, and yes, you can be helped!. You may need to talk things out with a therapist, as it may also relate to left over garbage from the past!. I even phone the crisis line once or twice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
