Answers:
Bi-Polar disorder is no joke, and will get worse if left untreated!. I left it untreated for 12 years, until I had a break down!. Not fun to play with!.
You should see a doc!. You do not necessarily have to take meds to see a doctor!. You are probably having some anxiety as well!. The medications for anxiety, for me anyways, take away the worry part of the depression, and they are very safe to take!. This way, I do not have to take the medications for bi-polar disorder, which tend to have more negative side effects!. The one thing you can do is see a psychologist!. A psychologist is different than a psychiatrist!. A psychiatrist tends to use less therapy, and more medication, where as a psychologist uses all therapy and classes to teach you how to recognize the negative effects, and deal with those negative effects, without the use of medication!. Psychologists do not write prescriptions!. The squeezing in your chest, shoulder pain!? Self pity parts, are probably more anxiety related than bi-polar related!. Bi-Polar symptoms are more or less, going from a down point, to a I feel so good point, and in more severe cases, thoughts of suicide, to feeling godlike, spending sprees, reckless behavior, reckless sexual behavior, drug use!. As much as I have talked to you, and read your questions, I would see a psychologist, and focus on the anxiety!. When he asks you questions, he will determine if it is worse than that!.
At best, at least you will know what you are dealing with, and you decide whether or not you want medication!. If you do, he/she refers you to a psychiatrist, and the two of you go from there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
