Question: How do I help my girlfriend when her mother VERBALLY ABUSES her!?
My girlfriend is 21 and a student!. We are long distance now due to school
Anyways, she has a really tough time with her mother!. Her mom verbally asbuses her and the things she says are extremely degrading and make my girlfriend feel like dirt
How can I help her through this time!? or what can I do!? I try my hardest to be there for her but the abuse from her mother I can tell is taking a toll on her!. Also, moving out is not an option for her right now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Be there for her, try to understand what it's like to have a constant bully telling you "you're not sh!T" some mothers are not maternal therefore it is hard for them to be motherly!.
Sometimes all parents give us is just DNA!. We don't pick our parents!.

i had the same problem with my mother!. This situation is VERY depressing and really messes with ur self esteem/confidence!. What u can do is keep reassuring her how great she is!. Say things that will make her feel good or what u feel will benefit her!. This will get her through this rough time and help her not to look down upon herself!. Since this is a long distance relationship, hopefully it will draw your relationship closer!.
