Question: Has a friend ever left you because you self injure!?
Thats kinda happening to me!.!.
It doesnt have to be completely leaving you, just like not the same around you anymore even!.

Oh, I've ha so many that have left!.!.!.and many treat me different!.!.!.
My family kind of left me (even more) once they found out about it!. They just kind of distanced themselves and left me alone!.!.!. It can be a relief sometimes to have them out of my hair, but when I'm determined to get them to answer me, it's definitely something that starts fights!.
As for friends, in 8th grade I actually left all of my friends!.!.!. I say that I "started" cutting then (Or that's when they actually started being deep rather than just awkward cat scratches)!.!.!. But I kind of was uneasy about being around them because I was afraid that they would find out if I was more around them!. Eventually, two of my friends actually found out!. So I just kind of stuck around them and no one else, because they comforted me and cared about me!. One of them told the school counselor though (awkward! She looks like a spider!), and every possible student found out through this!. Also, my family keeps no secrets because they say that "We live in too small of a town and it will get out eventuallly because of it"!.
So, after it was found out, those other two friends didn't want to be around me at all!. When others knew about the whole cutting issue, everyone just kind of backed away!. So, I went back to my old friends!. They would still accept me there, but they never knew what to talk about around me, which made it really awkward!. I was rather foreign to them, I suppose!.!.!.and they didn't get it!.!.!. But now it's kind of back to normal, and they think I've stopped!.!.!.!.well, of course they don't hear of it when I do!.!.!.
I also have a friend that tends to make it worse without knowing!.!.!. Recently, she saw one of the new ones and asked me about it!.!.!. But really, all I heard from her was "At least you have a dad"!. She always has to make it about herself, and that's something that really bugs me!. She asked me about this, and this isn't just some conversation, it's a touchy subject!.!.!.and she just goes on about how I have no reason to be unhappy just because I have a dad and she doesn't!.!.!. So, I told her that at least she had ONE parent that actually loved her!.!.!. But she can never listen to my emotions or my thoughts, and is too absorbed in herself for that!.!.!. that doesn't exactly pertain to this question, but it's on my mind a lot recently!. She's a great person, and really fun to hang out with, but everything does have to be about her!.!.!. And that really bugs me!.
So yes, I've lost quite a few friends thanks to self-injury!.!.!.unfortunately!.!.!.

I am probably much older than you at 34 but I had a terrible problem with self injury for a long time!. I will never forget those that 'abandoned' me but I don't fault them for it!. It is very hard to understand, even for those who are doing it!. Maybe they don't want to watch you die!.!.!. even though we know it is not a suicide thing!. ummm like cutting urself!?!? ive never been through it but i got reallly pissed at my friend when she did and helped her through it and as far as i know shes stopped but if i were u i would stop ur friend just cares and doesnt want to see u hurting urself!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
