Oh boy, sometimes even without bipolar, it's hard to know the answer to these questions! It's also perfectly natural to ask them! I don't have a good answer for this question because everyone thinks differently!. I believe that eventually your "place" in this world will become clear to you, at least you will become more comfortable in the place you are currently in!. Or, if you are not, take steps to change it!. Do some things differently and see if it makes any difference in how you feel!. Meet some new friends, do different hobbies, go traveling for a change in scenery!.

As for your parents, it's again perfectly natural to have mixed feelings!. You can look at it this way: you love the parent because of course, you were raised and probably loved by this person in spite of any disease; on the other hand, you don't like the way they act or talk!. The trouble is they often can't help it as it's the disease that's making them undesirable or unlikable!. Feelings are feelings!. They are yours and no one can take them away and no one should try!. You are entitled to whatever feelings you have!. Acting upon the feelings is a different matter!. Most likely, your affected parent or parents still need your support and love, so don't just write them off because of the disease!. I hope they are on the right medication so they can be as normal as possible!. Bipolar can be quite serious and it needs help!.

You sound like you have a good head on your shoulders!. Don't worry so much about feeling conflicted right now as it's perfectly normal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I suppose!. It's not so "hard" to tell what is really you and what isn't you when it comes to manic states!. However, the depressive state is kind of "hard" to tell at the begining!. Afterall, you do not just become depressed out of nowhere!. There are steps that trigger your depressive mood!. The key to controling depression and manic stats is to map what is normal, manic or depressive!. Once you know what each of these stats are, you can better reduce the length of the state!. Of course, you have to be mindful in many respects because part of depression and mania are somewhat normal!. What I mean by "normal" is that it is normal to become sad sometimies and also it is normal to become elated!. What bi-polar does it make both stats more extreme, and last longer!. Also, it can get real confusing because you can be manic and depressed at the same time (though I never have)!. Manic states are seductive because they usually happen right after deep depression!. Any energy would be good compared to the depressive state you were just in!. However, this is extra energy!. In fact, it's nervous energy!. That's why it is not uncommon for someone who is bi-polar to have bother mood stablizers as well as anxiety medication!.

It's very important to note that people usually feel normal when on mood stabalizers!. Often people say I am well, I don't need medication!. Well, what happens is they get sick again and again!. Bi-polar has no cure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
