Question: I have developed a fear of being operated on. I am really scared incase it has to come to that one day.?
i am really sensitive and get worried at the slightest things. i just hate the tought of an operation if i were to have one. the fact tat something may go wrong or the fact of being unconcious or the thought of tube being inserted into u! someone plz help me

im not personally having an operation but what if i were to have one? its just th thought of tubes inside u

i just dont wanna worry about things anymore

i dont want to choke on my own sick when i am knocked out

Answers:

the tube is not that much inside you. its just inserted into the very tippy top of the tube that leads to your lungs to keep your airway open. so basically, it doesnt go farther than your throat.

you cant choke on your own throw up because you are not allowed to eat anything for 24 hours before an operation. there is no food in your body, or in your stomach during an operation.

You need to get a hold of this odd anxiety issue. You're not even having any surgery, but you're freaking out about it? Calm down.
When you do need a surgery someday, the doctor will answer all your questions and tell you every detail to make you understand the whole process and you will feel much more comfortable.

Write down exactly what you are afraid of, and read it everyday, eventually your fears will ease,

You might also want to look at some statistic's, do you realize how many operations are performed EVERY DAY with NO complication's.

I had an operation and I didn't feel a thing because I was knocked out so neither will you
