Aspergers/ paranoid schizophrenia?!

Question: Aspergers/ paranoid schizophrenia?
I have thought for a while I may hAve paranoid schizophrenia. I have most of the
symptoms- paranoia, delusions, hallucinations, hearing voices, fatuige, headaches, blank facial expressions, bizarre thoughts and more.
However, over the last few weeks I have been seeing a couceller. She said to me today she thought I may have aspergers an descibed to me the symptoms which I agreed sound like me. However when I went home an looked at them online they don't seem likeme at all and the ones she said weren't on there.
Can I trust her? Could schiophrenia be misdiagnosed as aspergers? Is she some lady working with the people who are to get me? I need help please! P. S I'm 15 and a girl

Schizophrenia and Asperger's are very different disorders, and an experienced mental health professional would not confuse one with the other. Symptoms like hallucinations and delusions are not associated with Asperger's, and point to schizophrenia instead. It is possible, however, for someone to have both disorders. I strongly recommend seeing a psychologist or psychiatrist who specializes in either schizophrenia or autism spectrum disorders. If you don't know how to find one, your regular doctor is a good starting point.

I have Asperger's

Hallucinations and hearing voices are most decidedly *not* typical symptoms of Asperger's syndrome. I don't think they are even rare ones.

If present in someone who assuredly has Asperger's, or a related autistic spectrum condition, they would be grounds to consider an *additional* separate diagnosis.

I doubt a counselor would be qualified to decide, but to my mind they should be suggesting further proper medical assessment, anyway.

"Is she some lady working with the people who are to get me?"
Highly, highly unlikely.
Much, much, more likely she is simply out of her depth, hasn't enough training or experience, and it is showing.

Adult with Asperger's and some training in the variety of mental conditions and their presentation.

aspergers and schizophrenia are two different illnesses although they do share some ,but only some symptoms. i think you need a second opinion on your diagnosis. frankly, i 'll be honest with you i don't trust the diagnosis of counselors. they don't have the training of a psychiatrist which is who you need to go to for a proper diagnosis and proper treatment for schizophrenia. aspergers would be treated by a neurologist. do yourself a favour and make an appointment with a psychiatrist ASAP for a diagnosis. as i stated a second opinion never hurts.

personal experience.
