What's wrong with me? Can someone please help me?!

Question: What's wrong with me? Can someone please help me?
Since the first grade i've always had difficulty having a conversation with someone. Especially teachers, and people above my social standards (popular people in my school) When someone says something, even simple like a compliment I get really nervous. I shake, and feel like I can't breath when I walk through the halls, and I have never in my life raised me hand in class. I also I can never make decisions or anything. Like I can't describe it. I always tried to be like other people. This may sound weird but i've always had these role models. Like other people around me, like i'd try to be like them. I'd try to dress, talk, act, exactly like them. I'd change people constantly. This really annoyed me because I was never myself. I feel like I don't have a personality or something. I also never feel happy. I always feel miserable, and i've cut myself before, but it's not like i've really had any reasons. What's wrong with me?

you may want to speak to a psychologist.

i dont think any of us on YA can really help you, you're issues sound kinda deep seeded.., i would speak to a professional about this.

You don't have any confidence. I bet you don't like calling companies or people either. It makes you nervous.

Solution: Buy new clothes (that you like, not what others might like). Start a long-term plan and do a complete life turn-around. Don't think; know that you are the boss and others will be wowed

youre just really really shy. theres nothing bad about it though. instead of having a role model and trying to act like them, focus on doing things you actually like whether it's music, video games, studying, etc. and just always remind yourself that youre the only person that really matters. seriously, popular kids are only as popular as they're made. in the end, they're in the same social standard as you. same thing with teachers, if no one listens to them, they might as well not even be there. youre just as important as any other person there so treat yourself like it. good luck too!

It sounds like you have social anxiety, which is often a symptom of clinical depression.
I know how it feels, it's like....when you're around a bunch of people and you need to talk it feels like there's a huge weight on your chest and you can't say anything that makes sense. I have the same problem, but it's pretty easy to fix with medication and therapy. You should probably see a doctor, it doesn't even have to be a psychologist. Just explain the symptoms to your primary care physician (like, your regular doctor) or maybe your school nurse. They should point you in the right direction and find you psychiatric help.
Good luck<3

I have social anxiety as well.
