Coach Is Sexually Abusing ?!

Question: Coach Is Sexually Abusing ?
Hello. My mates and I are on our gymnastics Academy's National Team, so we spend a lot of time alone with our coach. During our first team training session, he has extremely nice and he told us that we could come talk to him about anything. About 1 month later he would start to get really touchy. At first we just ignored it because sometimes coaches have to touch the gymnasts, but than he started massaging us, patting us on our bums, kissing us on the lips, forehead, and cheek, making us sit on his lap, etc.. My mate Giselle and myself told him that we weren't comfortable with him kissing us and asked if he would mind not doing it. He told us that " that was just his way of showing us that he's proud of us and we'll get use to it." When he said that Giselle and I thought we were just overreacting. None of the others girls on the team were complaining. Than 3 months after that our team captain and also a very good mate of mine, Victoria had stopped coming to trainings. She never misses them. So I went to her flatt and I asked her were has she been and is everything okay ? She told me "no". Victoria told me that she doesn't want to be around our coach anymore. She went on to tell me that one weekend he had invited her to have lunch in London with him. She said since she was captain, in a way she felt obligated to go. Victoria than said that after lunch they had went back to his flatt because he wanted to show her old videos of his other former gymnasts, she said the only reason she agreed was because he told her that his wife would be there. When they had gotten there, his wife had out to visit family. She said that after he started telling her that " she was one of the best gymnasts he had ever coached", " She could be chosen for the Great Britain world team " "How beautiful she was", etc.. Vicky told me that he had asked her if she wanted to do "it" and she said she got scared and she told him no and he started to touch her and tell her that it wouldn't hurt and how much he cares about her, so they had sex. Vicky told me that she feels like it's her fault and that she feels soo dirty. So I told her that she needs to report him. She said she's scared that if she reports him, no one will believe her and her gymnastics dreams would be over. We've talked to others girls on the team and some of his former students, and similar things have happened to them. Sometimes we feel like we want to tell, then we'd start to doubt our self's. I know I want to tell someone,( I'm really close to both my parents, especially my dad, but I don't know to how tell them. Most of us one the national team are 16 and 17 years old and our coach just turned 24. I just hope I'm doing the right thing

you need to find as many girls as possible who are willing to go to the school, the parents, the police, whoever you can tell, and just start telling as many people as possible. the more girls you get to back you up, and can confirm that he did stuff like this to them, the better. if a whole troop of girls suddenly shows up and they are all claiming that a teacher/coach is touching them innapropriatly, someone WILL listen

what this teacher/coach is doing is wrong. he is abusing his position as a coach in THE worst possible way. tell anyone and everyone. you ARE doing the right thing by telling someone. if you dont tell, you are just giving him permission to keep doing it.

tell someone that is wrong he shouldn't do that to you guys you were right to tell him you were uncomfortable with him doing that to you guys in the first place, it isn't normal it is just plain creepy!

wow, you should definitely tell someone. that's very wrong. in America, that is illegal.

Let your parents know what's going on so they can fix things. That pervert should be fired!

call the cops. well after you tell your parents that is.

you need to report him ;O he is a perv and those kind of people should be in jail!

the cops

Since you all are under the legal age (I assume, I dont know if it is different for people that aren't in America), this is a big problem! You should tell a parent, family member, teacher, principal, cop, or anyone else that could fix the problem. If he is getting physical in any way that is a big problem.

report him. He's a sick man and needs to be punished for what he's doing. Don't let this happen to anymore people.

HOLY i thought these things only happened in movies! but anyways, ya u should deffiantly teell someone about it! As much as your team will be let down becuase of the whole coaching thing, its more important that you tell someone than let it happen again. and besides, no one will be able to focus on being a perfecect gymnast when your worrying about that kind of thing.

How would her gymnastics dreams be over if she reported him? That makes no sense. If people didn't believe her, what does it matter? If all of you go forward and tell the police that your teacher is sexually abusing you, they will believe you. If it was just one girl, they might be hesitant. If you could get everyone on the team to go forward, then you would have him for sure. If he is making you feel uncomfortable then report him. There is no "right thing". If you don't want to report him, then don't. It is up to you. I am not sure about laws in the UK, but here in the US, if an adult has sex with someone under 18, even if he/she says consents, it is rape.

you need to tell someone especially your parents. Something serious could happen to someone in the future and it could hurt someone very badly and it could all be stopped with one person voicing it. Imagine all the lives you could save by telling. If you don't you will regret it. And he could end up hurting someone else!!!!! Don't be scared or selfish by not telling. Things will work out for you!
