Stressed and suicidal...what should I do about my job?!

Question: Stressed and suicidal...what should I do about my job?
I feel trapped.
I just started a job two weeks ago and I hate it. I can understand some coworkers being rude, but there are more rude people than nice people at my job. I got lectured and yelled at my a superior (a boss, not my boss, though) for laughing -- it was so embarrassing. Even though it was a crowded place where everyone else is usually loud and talking and telling inappropriate jokes.

The guy who was supposed to train me told me pretty much to stand back, stay away, just go sit in that chair over there.

People there avoid me, I think it's because they think I'm going to eventually try to get their jobs (try to move up in the company). They think I'm competing with them. And I'm not.

I get barely 20 hours a week and minimum wage. But I'm so stressed, I just sit there, my throat and face tight and in pain, in such misery. I am grateful to finally have a job and I don't want to disappoint anyone by leaving, but I can't take it. I'm feeling like the only way to escape the situation without dealing with anymore pain is suicide.

There's just too much weight on my shoulders...I can't stand it. Perhaps not suicide, but I feel at my breaking point where I just come home and cry. My workplace is just filled with rude, stressed out people and they explode on each other and me too much.

Suiciding over a job you hate will not help the situation. When a situation gets tough, you don;t surrender, you need to justify your existence, because everyone has a purpose and a reason for being here. If your current job is bringing you down, it's time to leave and save your sanity. Get the hell out... Up and quit. Intern, or find find a way to make money from your hobby or simply find another place to work that would make you happy. Find your purpose, choose happiness... it's your life, it's in your hands.

the place you are going to is called "work" it is not called "fun" for a reason.... all jobs suck, some just suck more than others. since you arent working full time, try to find another job that holds some interest to you. it will suck less.

Ask your dr and get a counselor. Life is worth it think of your family and friends and the people that care about you the most don't lose your life at short. Good luck(:

Maybe it's just time to leave? While I do think lighting up a little spliff once in awhile WOULD help, it's not going to fix the problems your job is causing.

After a long day of work just go home and enjoy a nice blunt or something and all the stress and pain will go away and you can just relax and feel much better

You are #1, you've got to do what's best for you. It sounds like you are in a really negative environment but I also understand how hard it is to get a job now. Actually, I went through this exact situation a few months ago. A job has no value over your life. If you need to keep this job, try to see things differently. Don't let those people get to you and don't take in to account any rude or bitter remarks. Just smile and say thanks, you know? Those things take some work, but if you can't adjust to or deal with the environment you're in you've got to change it.
Either way, if you're having thoughts of suicide, and it sounds like you're feeling depressed, I strongly encourage you to talk to a counselor. As I said before, and I can't stress it enough, a job is not worth dying for. If we're unhappy it's up to us to fix it and I know this situation is difficult but I know you can get through it and improve your life because I did.
