My friend just popped 2 Citalopram(Lexapro)?!

Question: My friend just popped 2 Citalopram(Lexapro)?
She has a high tolerance to medication so I know she isn't going to overdose.
I need to know what the effects of it are so I can tell her what's going to happen because she took it.

I would appreciate it if no one started getting up my butt because someone popped a damned pill, but we need to know what's going to happen so we know what to do about them, good or bad. I don't want her to panic over it because I know the anxiety will mess with her body even more. So please help me out.

If you're going to answer this in hopes of trying to get her to stop and say how terrible pill popping is and how stupid she is and she's going to puke and die then just switch pages because neither of us feel like listening to you rant. Otherwise, please help! Thank you!

...if you're so worried then go to emergency room...

Everyone above has NO CLUE what they're talking about. It will do nothing. Nothing at all. Nor would 4. 100% sure on this as its a medical fact. So don't stress any more. (Plus if she is trying to reach a high, its impossible with antidepressants. Not saying she is, but mightaswell know.)

Any more questions email me. Dont want ya freaking out ey.

Edit: Whoever negged me obviously knows nothing about medicine.

I take them, know alot about it and other antidepressants, etc.

Medicine can have react differently to different people. When it comes to side effects, some people may experience none of them, while others experience only slight ones. Others, however, can experience side effects severely and it can impair and damage them. So it is impossible to say for sure what may or may not happen to your friend.

It might depend on the milligrams. Lexapro is an anti-depressant non-narcotic - it is usually taken once per day and benefits take a few days to work. It does not give an immediate high. My guess is that this won't hurt her but it does build up in the system and she should not continue taking more than 1 per day. Call a poison control hot-line - they should be able to tell you more.

I was on those it's not going to do a damn thing. Might make her calm or tired for a bit, thats about it. + going to the hospital is going to waste everyones time and everyone will be pissy by the end of it.

it was just 2 i wound t do it but if she takes them already then nothing may not happen to her but if she starts to get sick look up sighs of over dosing.and make sure shes ok

She should not be popping pills at all! She should be fine but she needs to STOP!
