I haven't been able to sleep at all lately. Why?!

Question: I haven't been able to sleep at all lately. Why?
I can not go to sleep at all. Im always up all night and sleep all day and I HATE it. I hate sleeping the day away because I cant sleep at night. How can I get to sleep and stay asleep because sometimes I also wake up in the middle of the night too? Please help!

I know exactly what you're talking about, kid. I'm 19.
Try routine. Do everything you possibly can before bed so there's nothing on your mind.
If you sleep in the dark and silence, try turning on a tv or listening to some music, that's always soothing.

Drink some of that sleepy time tea. It tastes a little sour, or lemony, but it's really effective.
Personally I think warm milk is disgusting, but if it works for you then I think you should try it.
If all else fails, talk to your parents and see if they can make you an appointment with a doctor for some sleeping medication.

im like that consistently. when i can't stand it anymore i stay up all night AND day, no matter what i have to do keep myself up. and then by 7pm im dying to fall asleep. it might help but you have to stay up all day or else it will worsen your sleep patterns. you could set an alarm or have someone wake after only a few hours of sleep too. that way your tired and you'll want to go to bed earlier which may get you back on track. you could try an over the counter pain reliever that helps you sleep too. the only thing i dont like about that is you can become reliant on them so i try to do that as little as possible. i don't take sleeping pills at all. or a benadryl before bed, the kind that makes you drowsy. the best thing ive ever tried is a zanex (excuse the spelling) it could have been a valum i can't remember. it doesn't make me tired but it calms me down so mind isn't going a million miles per minute and i go to sleep easier. its not ment to put you to sleep. i think its an anti anxiety pill, that however is not over the counter. drinking less caffeine throughout the day may help as well or not watching tv while trying to sleep.

Ugh. I know how you feel. I'm the exact same way. What I've tried to do, is (if you can make it) when you stay up all night, try making it through the rest of the day without sleeping, or napping, and by the time 9pm comes around you'll be very tired you'll fall right to sleep. It's not the healthiest choice, but it has helped me get my sleeping pattern back together. I wish you the best!

Baby, some people are just night owls.
It's a fact of life. Just look how many other people are up answering your question!
It doesn't mean that there's anything wrong with you.
In fact, people who work 3rd shift usually make more on the hour so it could benefit you in your late life!
But I guess for right now it sux because you have to go to school.
Yeah, I went through that too.
Pick one Saturday night to stay up clear into Sunday. Try not to go to sleep until around 7 or so and see if that won't reset your inner clock.

Good luck!

All you have to do is stay up all night and the day after, then go to bed at a reasonable time that night. I'd say around 8 pm so you can catch up on lost sleep. I've fixed my sleeping schedule many times, I just like it better like this.

I go to sleep at 8 am and wake up at 11 am.

That's funny I'm 18 and I'm doing the same thing! If you aren't going to sleep tonight then don't sleep at all. Wait until tomorrow night, and you'll be dead tired. Get yourself up early in the morning no matter how freakin tired you are. I'm in the process of doing this myself lol.

Maybe you are too excited for the next day? Or maybe you're worried about something? And make sure there are no distractions while you are sleeping so you don't get interrupted in the middle of the night. Hope this helps!

This relaxing video might help you sleep. You don't need sound. You can just look at the pictures to help you.

Maybe you have part of someone's soul inside of you.
You may want to stab yourself with a Basilisk Fang. :)
