Question: My symptoms for depression or bi polar?
ok i went to the doctor and told her but she gave anti depressants and didn't even ask real questions
i am tired all the time i
i feel angry, hopeless,sad,
i live in my bedroom and won't come out
anxiety attacks
social anxiety
i feel guilty for something i haven't even done
mood swings are bad
i use to be so loud and happy now i don't talk and always have a sad or angry feeling
sleep even tho i am tired will go to sleep at 2 and wake up at five ...i get once a week where i go to bed at 10 and wake at 5... weight loss
not eating properly and get emotional about anything..... i never use to get emotional
i let the stupidest things worry me and it eats at me.... will you be ale to tell?

Everything you said here is a symptom of depression, but bi polar (also called manic depression) is different to plain old depression.
Bi polar is a combination of mania and depression, alternating in cycles.

People with bi polar will suffer from moods that swing violently between very low and very high.
Individuals who experience manic episodes also commonly experience depressive episodes, or symptoms, or mixed episodes in which features of both mania and depression are present at the same time.

These episodes are usually separated by periods of "normal" mood; but, in some individuals, depression and mania may rapidly alternate, which is known as rapid cycling. Extreme manic episodes can sometimes lead to such psychotic symptoms as delusions and hallucinations

From what you have described here, i don't think that you are bipolar. But that you simply have depression.
Go back to your doctor if you are not happy with how she diagnosed you. You are entitled to a second opinion.

From your self description I cannot see hints for bipolar. Only unipolar which is making things easier to escape. I suggest a test for thyroid hormones only to exclude that tiredness all day is caused by low T4 T3 hormones. In addition you may ask for a ferritin test which goes to iron in blood which is causing a too early exhaustion. Your listing of symptoms in the presence of antidepressants does not speak
for working meds..

I have a brother who is Bi-polar and some other hyper active disorder like ADHD.
its hard to live with him he is crazy but sometimes he would be normal.
I don't know if the med's help i would guess its very experimental for doctors to prescribe meds for these disorders aka chemical in-balances.
Keep fit and try to eat very healthy nuts fruits salads good proteins.
stay away from street drugs!



sounds liek depression and maybe anxiety. Not Bipolar. Add in the self harm and maybe it;s Borderline Personality Disorder. If you don;t like how your doctor treated it then see another doctor or mak an appointment with a psychologist for therapy.

what is vitally important is to choose your healing route- for this problem ----- carefully from good information—that means knowing druggs/meds treatment for this can/will be damaging to your mind and body .drugs only mask the symptoms they do not cure.

1,get someone to massage your back and legs at least 3 times a week use peanut oil or a mix of 50-50 olive and peanut oil.

5 ensure your thyroid is working well get it checked

7 be amongst people who are giving, friendly who have time for you who love you , choose your friends well . choose your company well.
