I can't look at myself in the mirror?!

Question: I can't look at myself in the mirror?
I hate looking at myself in mirrors, I sometimes do to brush my hair and other things of course but I avoid looking at any other part of my body, when I do look in the mirror to see how I look, thinking I couldn't look as bad as I thought I start to get angry at myself, not just for looking so ugly but my general personality and behaviour spring to mind too, I even sometimes get the urge to stab my reflection, as if it was the actual me and not just a reflection, obviously I resist, walk away and try to forget about it... is there something wrong with me?

There isn't anything wrong with YOU, there's something wrong with your perception of you, and you definitely need to talk to someone to help you out with that. "We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are." Make a list of the things about you and your appearance and personality that you like. Think about how other people in your life see you. I'm sure they don't have the same feelings you have towards yourself... we're our own worst critics.

You're Beautiful.

ok

You need to make a list of positives and negatives.
I think you are hiding something, or ashamed of something.
Please talk to a priest or minister, even start with your doctor.
Write down all of the things you like about yourself.
Then write the things you want to improve about yourself.
Now take a week to do the following:
Call your family
write a thank you note for the last gift you received, if it has been a while say, I was just remembering how much I enjoyed receiving that ..... It makes me think of you.
Now , see if you can visit a Retirement home, bring cookies that you make yourself.
Take five things to Good Will and donate them.
Go to Church this Sunday or the Service near you. Bring a friend and go out for coffee after-wards or stay for coffee at church.,
If you owe anybody money...bring a payment and a cake to them.
Don't eat anything white until your list is completed.
Congratulate yourself each time you accomplish something.
Smile at yourself in the mirror after morning prayers.
