Taking a sleeping pill?!

Question: Taking a sleeping pill?
Since the last month i have been sleeping at 6am and been waking up in the after-noon. First it started when friends were around, going out every night, having fun what so ever, now its turning into a habit or its already an habit?

Even i put alarms i don't wake up, Considering taking a sleeping pill so that i sleep early in the night and wake up in the morning. Just a one time thing > good idea?

PS- I actually lived this night life for a while when i was 17.. This habit has come again.. please help

If you've been out partying as a reason for not sleeping, adding another chemical to your system has to be a bad idea. Give your liver and kidneys a break. You know full well that you have to change you habits to have a positive result. Relying on chemicals instead of common sense will only tilt your slippery slope more.

Sleeping pills are only prescribed when somebody cannot sleep. No responsible doctor will prescribe them to somebody who chooses to stay up all night.

Gradually set your bedtimes back half an hour or an hour every night until you're going to bed at a reasonable time, say, 11pm.

When the clock says 10 PM tonight, shut off the tv, radio, computer and anything else like it; which should just leave you the newspaper, a magazine, or a book. That'll be a good start.
