I can't get over my grandad's death?!

Question: I can't get over my grandad's death?
Hi
My grandad passed away two years ago, and I can't get over his death.
His wife, my nanny, died six years ago, and I was eight then, and cannot remember much. I can't even remember her.

I didn't get to say goodbye to my grandad, my parents left me in school without me knowing, and told me at the end of the day.
I dont' know what to do anymore. I'm fed up crying all the time. I always feel guilty laughing at pointless things. When will it stop.

Help?
Thanks. x

It may help to know that your grandad wouldn't want his passing to affect you in this way - he would want his grand child to have a happy and healthy life - everything a grandparent wants for their grandchild. And I tell you this because I am a grandparent with a 3 year old grand daughter. I'd be hurt to know that my death had in some way held her back in enjoying her life. Be happy - it's what he would want for you.

i wish i knew how to answer your question for you.
my father in law, my dear 12 year old daughter's, 9 year old and 2 year old's grandad sadly passed away today and we know how painful it is. for us it is still very, very raw, but i am hoping that by answering all my children's questions honestly so they know what and why this has happend and letting them be involved in their loved grandad's funeral arrangments will help them with the grieving process.
i don't know how your parents handled things when your grandad passed away, but maybe getting truthful information about his death will help you. one thing i am sure of though is that your grandad would not want you to feel guilty for enjoying your life and laughing even at silly things.
i'm sorry i can't be of more help. i can only wish you the best.

He's in a better place now and i know he would want you to be strong to live a good life for him and don't dwell on the bad things.
