I think I'm depressed, but I don't know why!?!

Question: I think I'm depressed, but I don't know why!?
I have been reading up on depression and I have almost all of the symptoms. The thing is, I have nothing to be depressed about! Here's my story..
I live with my dad in an apartment. My parents got divorced in early August of last year and my mom lives about 45 minutes away. I get to see her every week or so. (My mom has always been the one to get pissed easily and always yelled at my sister and I for no reason so things are better with me seeing her about once a week). My sister moved to Washington about a month ago. (I live in Nevada.) I'm only 14 years old. I've moved cities 3 times and went to 5 different schools. My dad is a great guy and he lets me ride horses and dance. (He's not like the dad that gives me whatever I want, but he is a reasonable dad.) I don't really get teased at school, but I have a hard time making friends as I am not very social. That's about it for my story.

So what reasons would I have to be depressed? In my eyes I have a good life, but I just don't understand why.

I read this: http://helpguide.org/mental/depression_t…
in the Signs and symptoms chart this is what I have:
Sadness or hopelessness
Irritability, anger, or hostility
Tearfulness or frequent crying
Withdrawl from friends and family
Feeling of worthlessness and guilt
Lack of enthusiasm and motivation
Fatigue or lack of energy
Difficulty concentrating
Thought of death or suicide (just thoughts no acts)

I've also been very "snappy" with people. I get frustrated and upset very easily lately.
So why am I depressed?

Also, how do I tell my dad? He is such a great dad and he wants me to be able to tell him anything, but how do I do it? I don't want him to think I'm going to end up like my sister (she was drinking and smoking by the age of 14) but I don't want to keep it from him either. Please help me out here. And SERIOUS answers only.

Thank you

I checked those depression guides once. Now,i am not saying that they are bad or undermine your hapiness on purpose, but you shouldn't listen to them.It is better to hear what you think about yourself. In some questions, people tend to overdo it and end up answering something that isn't true, but they aren't 100% sure if it happens or not,so they say yes.The way you answered those questions depends on your mood.If you feel ok and calm, you have nothing at all. But,so you really believe you are fine or you know that most things feel wrong?I think you should visit a psychologist if you want a proper diagnosis, its best to let a person do the job,not questions on the Internet

Sometimes depression is just caused by a chemical imbalance in your brain. I had severe depression and didn't really know why it came on. Sometimes a lot of little insignificant happenings in your life can add up and trigger depression, and sometimes there is a physiological cause.
Telling your dad will probably be very hard, but if you sit down and talk with him, he will help you get whatever help or counseling you need. Even if you are only having passive suicidal thoughts, you should still seek help from a licensed therapist. Hang in there.. depression is a slippery slope, and if you don't take care of it soon, you can slip into a severe depression and really be in trouble.
