it takes alot of work, but it can be done, I've been there . The best way is to have someone guide you thru it, and face the issues or situation that cause your anxiety.

i used to have anxiety being in a traffic jam, large venues (concerts, games) , around people i didn't know, eating in a restaurant, i just wanted to be home in my safe area. on weekends i would stay home avoid road trips, it was a mess.

But slowly i faced all the situations and the anxiety just went away.

the biggest issue in anxiety is we scare ourselves to death over "what ifs", what if i gotta use the restroom and i'm in a traffic jam? what if theres an earthquake ? just alot of what ifs, and in reality its all negative thinking.some times we are afraid to embarrass ourselves wen in reality is part of life.

We are also afraid of having those dread full feeling caused by anxiety, heart racing, tinglings sweating ,feeling of just running out of the situation, but if we learn to accept those feelings and stop fighting them eventually the will go away, don't ignore those feelings but accept them, welcome them, its a Natural reaction of our body in order for survival. those feeling let you know your still alive and your human.

write down what triggers your anxiety, write down what your fears are that might happen in such situation, make a list. Then expose yourself in that situation be with someone who you trust , then afterwards go down the list , and you will see that everything in the list was just a negative thought pattern that we create and it affects our behavior, and the outcome of every situation would be positive and soon you will start to replace all the negative thinking to a positive way of thinking.
