Question: How can I get into a mental hospital?
How can I get admitted to one, who do I speak to about this (I already have both a counselor & a psychiatrist).
How much would it cost? I have insurance but very, very low money to spend.

I'll give you a serious answer.
In October, I was admitted to a mental hospital for about 3 weeks because I almost killed myself.
The night I got admitted, I was about to kill myself and I stopped and realized that I needed help, so I called the people at the mental hospital and they told me that they admit people 24 hours a day and if I felt like I needed help, that they would admit me.
Keep in mind that once you get admitted (unless you're over 18) you cannot leave until your treatment is over.
My insurance did cover it, but it still cost a couple hundred for the whole stay, plus the total price of whatever meds they give you while you're in there.

The only way you will be admitted into the mental hospital is if you are suicidal and you have strong plans to do something to yourself but each state has a STATE HOSPITAL that you can check yourself into but it is a stay from 30 to 90 days
So if you are suicidal just pick up the phone and call the police and they will give you a ride to the hospital or the ambulance actually will or get yourself to the hospital and tell them you are suicidal and they will have a mental health professional come and evaluate you and they will decide if you need to go to a mental hospital or a safe house which you do not need to be suicidal to go
A safe house is where you go stay and be monitored and given your medicine and see a psychiatrist every weekday or at least a couple times during your stay but you also have to be 18 to go there and this sounds more like a place you need but im not a professional so good luck with your treatment
well what state are u located in? Find out the best hospital in the state, or city which you live in. The conditions of the hospital and the reviews of the hospital are very critical. I was in your condition after i had brain surgery. I started developing depression, anxiety and just feeling horrible. I went to a hospital in nyc called presbyterian. It helped me so much, that i have changed completely and no longer feel any pain or self destructive behavior. It can be done, but you just need to have hope and try.
Attack on a police department! And let them know you are a totally mad girl.and then they will take you to a mental hospital and thats it there starts your treatment. Ofcourse that will be free of cost.HOPE The answER was the question. DOo itTT

many insurance companies determine if someone can be admitted--and they are getting more and more strict.
